探究一: 祈使句的结构和用法
祈使句一般用来表示请求、命令、劝说、号召、警告等。在祈使句中,通常省略主语you,其肯定形式以动词原形开头,否定形式是在动词原形前加don’t。祈使句句尾用句号或感叹号,读时用降调。为表示礼貌,可以在句首或句尾加上please。句末用please
时,前面通常加逗号。

1) 表示能力 “会, 能”
Can you play the guitar 你会弹吉他吗?
Jim can speak Chinese.吉姆会说中文。
2) 表示请求,允许、许可, 意为“可以”、“能”
Can the students run in the hallway ?学生可以在走廊里乱跑吗?
We can eat outside. 我们可以在外面吃东西。
注意: 和大部分情态动词一样, 变否定句, 直接在can后加上not, 在疑问句中, 把can放到主语前面, 并且没有人称和数的变化。
could 也可表示请求,但比can的语气更委婉。

have to 必须;不得不。表示因客观的需要不得不做某事,有人称和时态的变化,后接动词原形。可用于不同的时态,有人称和数的变化。其否定式don’t / doesn’t have to表示“不必;没必要”。否定形式和疑问句形式均需要借助助动词do\does才可以进行变化。

疑问句:

注意:
have to在否定句中, 直接在have to前面加don’t/doesn't, 在一般疑问句中, 在主语前面加助动词do/does, 有人称,数和时态的变化。

表示主观需要或责任感的驱使有必要或有义务去做某事,没有人称和时态的变化,后接动词原形。
句型结构:主语+must+动词原形+其他
e.g. Don’t arrive late for class. We must be on time.

mustn’t 表示 “不准; 禁止”。
e.g. You mustn’t talk to your mother like that.

have to与must的共同点
二者均可表示“必须”,其后均接动词原形。
It’s too late. I have to take a taxi. 太晚了,我必须乘出租车。
I must go now. 我必须现在就走。
have to与must的不同点
have to,强调因客观因素影响而不得不做某事,跟主观意愿无关,通常上下文中会有暗示客观因素的句子,多译为“不得不”。可用于不同的时态,有人称和数的变化,其一般现在时的第三人称单数形式为has to;过去式为had to。have to的否定形式为don’t/doesn’t /didn’t have to,表示“不必”。
He has to live at school because his home is far away from school.

I.语言点精讲
1. have to 的用法
have to意思是“必须、不得不”, 它侧重于
客观上的必要和外界的权威。
1) 结构:主语+have to+动词原形+其他
(一般现在时, 主语是第三人称单数时,
用has to;句子是过去时,用had to。) 如:
We have to wear sneakers for gym class. 在体育课上, 我们必须穿运动鞋。
Tom has to practice the guitar every day. 汤姆每天必须练习弹吉它。
I had to get up at 5:00 am last Monday. 上周一, 我不得不早上5点起床。
2) 否定形式: 主语+don’t have to+动词原形+其他(一般现在时,
主语是第三人称单数时,用doesn’t have to;句子是过去时,用
didn’t have to)
e.g. Nick doesn’t have to wear a uniform.尼克不必穿校服。
We didn’t have to do our homework at once. 我们不必马上完成作业。
3) 疑问句:Do (Does 或 Did)+主语+have to +动词原形+其他
如: --Do you have to stay at home on weekends
--Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.

2. Don't fight.不要打架。
fight此处用作动词,意为“打架;战斗”。
e.g.: Stop fighting! The teacher is coming.别打了,老师来了。
【拓展】fight的常见搭配:
fight against sb.与某人搏斗/打仗/作战;fight (with sb.) about/over sth.(与某人)就某事争辩;fight for sth.努力争取,为……而斗争。
3. 2.Can we eat in the classroom 我们可以在教室里吃东西吗?
情态动词can在本句中表示请求,意为“可以”。其一般疑问句形式为“Can+主语+动词原形+其他 ”;肯定回答用“Yes, ... can.”,否定回答用“No, ... can't.”。
e.g.:—Can I use your bike 我可以用用你的自行车吗?
—Yes, you can.是的,你可以。
4. What else do you have to do
else “其它的”, 用来修饰something, anything ,
nothing等, 还可用来修饰疑问词 what, where, who等, else修饰疑问词或不定代词时,
应后置。例如:
Do you have anything else to do .
Who else did you see
5. hear, listen和sound用法
hear, listen和sound都有“听”的意思,
但三者是有区别的。
1) hear “听说“, 侧重于”听”的内容。例如:
I'm sorry to hear that you are ill. 听说你生病了, 我很难过。
I never heard such an interesting story. 我从来没听过这么有趣的一个故事。
2) listen“听”侧重于“听”这一动作。
如果后面跟要听的事物,应跟介词to再跟事物
Listen to me carefully. 认真听我说。
The children like to listen to music. 孩子们喜欢听音乐。
3) sound“听起来”, 它是系动词, 后面接形容词等。例如:
That sounds great. 那听起来真不错。
It sounds like fun. 听起来挺有趣。
