To be a good teacher, you need some of the gifts of a good actor: you must be able to 1 the attention and interest of your students; you must be a 2 speaker, with a good, strong, 3 voice which is fully under your control; and you must be able to act what you are teaching in order to make its meaning clear.
4 a good teacher and you will see that he does not sit still 5 his class: he stands the whole time when he is teaching; he walks about, using his 6 , hands and fingers to help him in his explanations, and his face to express 7 . Listen to him,and you will hear the loudness, the quality and the musical note of his voice always changing according to what he is 8 about.
The fact that a good teacher has some of the gifts of a good actor doesn't 9 that he will indeed be able to act well on the stage, for there are very important 10 between the teacher's work and the actor's. The actor has to speak words which he has learnt by heart, he has to repeat exactly the 11 words each time he plays a certain part; 12 his movements and the ways in which he uses his voice are usually fixed beforehand(预先)。What he has to do is to make all these carefully learnt words and actions seem natural on the stage.
A good teacher 13 in quite a different way. His students take his 14 :they ask and answer questions; they obey orders; and if they don't 15 something, they will say so. The teacher therefore has to suit his act to the needs of his students. He cannot learn his part by heart, but must invent it as he goes along.

Robots seem very new to most people. But they have a long history.
The first one was made by a Greek inventor. You may have seen robots in some films. The robots in these films are stronger, faster and cleverer than people. In real life, most robots are used in factories. They are used to do many dangerous, difficult or boring jobs. Some people can't look after themselves and robots are used to help them. For example, some people can't see. Many of these people use a dog to help themselves move around. This dog is called a guide dog. Scientists are making a robot to help them. In the future, robot dogs might take the place of these guide dogs.
Robots are also used in American hospitals. At one hospital, a robot takes meals from the kitchen to the sick people's rooms. It never loses its way because it has a map of the hospital in its computer system.
In the future, robots will work in space. But robots will never take the place of human beings. They can, however, help us in a lot of different ways.

Making robots needs software engineers(软件工程师),mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and computer engineers, but I think software engineers play the most important part. A mechanical engineer will design the robot's body. Electrical engineers will design the robot's controlling, power, signal receiving, etc. Electro-mechanical engineers may work on the robot's sensors(传感器)。 Computer engineers will design the robot's brain. Now companies are hiring robotics engineers to develop everything from automated vacuum cleaners(自动吸尘器) to robot dogs. So do you want to be a robotics engineer How do you find an effective way to get started to become a robotics engineer
Here's how I became a robotics engineer. It started with trying to build a robotic hand as a teenager in my parents' garage. This was after I first learned how servo systems(随动 系统)worked. So I only got the servo part working, but it was a start. Later I went to college to get an undergraduate degree(学士学位) as an electrical engineer. After that I worked as an electrical engineer for three years. I designed several automatic control systems that were very interesting. Then I went back to school. this time as a mechanical engineer, and completed all the undergraduate mechanical engineering courses. After that I also received a Master's degree and the degree of PhD on robotics.
If you are interested in becoming a robotics engineer and would like to chat by email. please feel free to contact me.

Sometimes it is hard for teenagers to talk to their parents because they don't understand. But here are four tips that may help.
1. Find a time to talk when your parents are not doing anything else, like washing dishes, working in the office, talking on the phone, putting other kids to bed, etc. If not, their mind will be elsewhere and they will either get angry or not give you their attention.

For example, you came home at 23:00, but you were supposed to be home at 21:00.Then, find out a way to earn that trust back.

Our class made a survey on whether we need robots in our everyday life. Here is the result.
Two thirds of us think we need robots, because they can help us with lots of everyday jobs and they can make life easier. But one third of us think we don't need to have robots. They say robots cost too much and they can cause some unexpected problems. They also think robots can make people lazy.
I think that a robot can help with housework and make it possible for us to spend more time on
something more important and exciting. So I would get a robot if possible.
