[设计意图]本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级英语下册第一单元的第三课.本课重点在于引导学生谈论西安的标志性建筑物和文化,从“西安之旅”视频开始,自然地导入谈论西安的标志性建筑物、饮食和文化的话题。通过练习听力练习训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。利用动作、手势和图片学习英语单词,同时反复运用新学的单词和短语。最后通过学习,能用已经学习的词汇,谈论西安的标志性建筑物和文化。让学生们了解西安的城市特色,增进学生们对于祖国的了解与热爱。

Teaching Steps
StepⅠ. Warming up
1.Show a map of the silk road and ask the students questions:
T: There are three famous cities along the silk road, can you find them
S: They are Xi’an, Lanzhou and Dunhuang.
T: What can you see in these places
S: We can see ...
Today we are going to the first city--- Xi’an for our trip.
StepⅡ. Lead in
Let the students watch a video about Xi’an and ask them the two questions.
(1) Which city is the man going
(2) What can you see in this video
[设计意图] 本课主要讲丝绸之路的始发站西安,所以以古丝绸之路地图为开端,让学生了解西安的重要作用,活跃课堂气氛。紧接着播放有关西安之旅的视频,让学生能够身临其境的感受西安的底蕴与文化。同时引入在之后学习中会使用到的词汇、短语和句型。
Step Ⅲ.Listening
1.Listen to Part 1 and fill in the blanks.
(1)The wall is about kilometres long and over years old.

(3)The Terra Cotta Warriors are over years old.
[设计意图] 加深同学们对细节的掌握,学生们在有了一定的信息输入之后,才能在这一部分抓住关键信息,完成听力任务。

Part 1
1. Show some pictures of the places of interest in Xi’an and explain the new words to the students.

◆enjoy + 名词、代词、动名词,意为“享受(做)某事”。
◆dish用作名词,在句中意为“菜肴”。

dish用作名词,还有“盘子”的意思。
I have to wash the dishes after supper.
晚饭后,我不得不洗盘子。
3.You will have a lot of fun here in this ancient city!
have fun意为“玩得开心,过得愉快”。
做某事开心have fun + v.-ing

1. Work in groups. Let the students do a role play. One or two students can be the tour guide and the rest of the group can be the tourists.
