Introduction to the Topic Modern Olympics is a very common topic in our real life. Students will read an article of Modern Olympics. In this article, we will learn about the facts about Modern Olympics, including the similarities and differences of them. In the end we know that the Olympic spirit has always been the same—to do the best and compete fairly.
Information about the Students They are Grade 8 students from the Affiliated School of Baoding Normal. Students in this class are from the high leveled students in Grade 8.
Teaching Objectives Students can learn about the key words, set phrases and sentence structures in this lesson and then use them to speak the similarities and differences of Modern Olympics. 2. Students can design a poster to introduce the 2022 Winter Olympics (like the slogan, mascot, torch, culture background, etc.) according to this lesson.
