在复合句中,用作状语的从句叫状语从句。本单元我们主要学习由until, although, so that引导的状语从句。

基本用法

直到我回家,我女儿才去睡觉。
until
until引导时间状语从句,用于肯定句时,意为“直到……为止”,主句中的谓语动词用延续性动词。
I studied English until 9 o’clock last night.
我昨晚学英语一直学到9点钟。
用于否定句时,意为“直到……才……”,主句中的谓语动词常用非延续性动词。
*so that:“以便,为了”, 引导目的状语从句,从句中的谓语动词一般和can, could, may, might等情态动词连用。

注意:although/though不能和but同时出现在一个句子里。
*一般although可与though互换使用。
