四年级是小学生知识、能力、情感价值观形成的关键时期,他们对自我有了一些浅显的认识,养成了一定的好的行为习惯,随着他们社会生活范围的不断扩大,进一步认识了解社会和品德的形成成为迫切的需要。四年级学生大多数淳朴、活泼、积极向上。绝大部分学生乐于这一门课程的学习,能积极与到本课程的课内外的学习活动中去。学生思维活跃、动手能力较强。但也有一小部分学生比较自私,团结协作精神差。学生的学习主动性和自觉性比较差,有些学生作业拖拉,字写得比较差。上课时,不爱动脑、动笔,需要不断督促。

Teaching procedures
Step1.Warm-up:
1. Greet each other between teachers and students.
T:Morning ,class!How are you today
Ss:Morning,teacher!I’m fine,thanks.
2.Revision the words of unit 5.
Step2.Lead-in:
Let’s sing a song.
Sing the song in unit 5.
T:Let’s play a game.
Guessing game:
Use the PowerPoint to present a wardrobe,let SS guess what clothes are in it.Then ask them to speak out in English.
Step3.Presentation:
Present the pictures on the textbook,ask the pupils “What can you see ”to teach the new words in this lesson.Pay attention to the pronunciation.
Listen to the listening tape imitate the dialogue.
Listen to it again and read the dialogue together.
Group work
Ask SS to act the dialogue in groups, then ask a few pairs to perform it in the front of the classroom.
Game time
Teacher speak out English and SS say Chinese.If the teacher say Chinese ,SS should speak English.

Part Complete and say.
Present the pictures and sentences through the PowerPoint.Ask SS to do the sentences practice.
