教材分析 本课是八年级下册第六单元最后一 课,是一节阅读课。本课通过 Jenny写给Li Ming 的一封信,介绍了她的班级这周所举行的奥运会情况,并特别介绍了Danny 发明的Jump over the Dinosaur的赛事,要求学生学会并运用新的词汇,以及表达顺序关系的词或词组,谈论班级成员设计的奥运会活动。
学情分析 到八年级下半年,学生对英语语言的学习已经有了一定的基础,词汇量、阅读能力、写作能力都处于上升阶段,如何让学生在难度逐渐增加、词汇量逐渐增大的情况下,保持并提高英语学习的兴趣,是八年级英语教 学的关键。
教学目标 语言知识目标 掌握词汇: rope, result, race, twentieth, none 学习短语: come in twentieth 牢记句型结构: None of us could catch him. 复习语法结构: 含有特殊疑问词的宾语从句 (We used a watch to see who was the fastest.) 比较级和最高级 (I was two seconds slower than Danny.)

Warming up Pre-reading Lead - in The aims of the lesson T: Now, everybody. Let’s talk about some sports you like. What sport do you like to do S: (They may answer : Running, volleyball, football, badminton, basketball ---) T: I know most of you like sports. Me , too. I like sports, as a result, I am strong and healthy. (红色字体:开始学习生词。通过教师自己创设的教学情境来学习生词,为后面的while-reading环节做准备) Now, Let’s find out what I do in my daily life.(ppt2) PPT3: Here I’m jumping rope. (所有生词领读三遍) Here I’m doing sit-ups and push-ups. PPT4: I was taking a 100-metre race with my friends on our playground. Do you want to know my result S: The man. T: I came in twentieth. Can you guess who was the champion S: Yes. T: The man was the champion, because he was the only man in my group.None of my other friends could catch him in the race. Five students a group and you should consider the mind map on PPT20. 听力训练是语言交际的一种重要形式,是检验学生掌握英语语言的标准,坚持进行听力训练可以教会他们区分和模仿正确的语音语调。同时,设置听力任务,有助于学生理解听力素材,提高听力训练效果。 1)通过设置问题来训练学生寻读的能力和做题技巧。 大声朗读,模仿听力训练中的标准的语音,并通过寻读标注本课的知识结构,为下一步学习知识结构做铺垫。 处理Language points 有助于学生掌握一些固定的语法结构或句式结构,是语言学习积累的有效途径。 让学生们自己来表演Jump over the Dinosaur, 可以激发他们的文本学习兴趣,也让他们了解到活动设计要有可操作性。 思维导图是近几年白银市英语中考作文考试中最广泛采用的图式,可以简洁明了的表达中心思想,有利于训练学生抓住写作重点。
Post-reading The teacher lead the forty students to design the events.(eight groups in total) Eight groups design their classroom Olympic events. ( five minutes later) T: Time is up. Some groups introduce and perform their events.(five groups showed their events) T: Everybody, I think you all invented interesting events, however, we have no time to show here. But it doesn’t matter, you can do them after class, yes S: Yes! T: OK, boys and girls, in Unit 6, we know the topic is to be a champion, now let’s enjoy a song about the topic. ( Now, here is the homework for different levels) 课前让每组学生构思了各组的活动,并让他们准备了需要用到的道具。 课堂上根据思维导图设计了小组活动,通过一定的写作格式要求,让学生们用中英文介绍了他们设计的活动,并尝试表演他们的活动,意在检验活动的可行性和趣味性。

Goodbye!) 作业情况通过分层次来布置,对于待提高学生而言可以起到加强巩固基础知识的作用,让他们尽可能保质保量完成学习任务;对于中等水平的学生而言,通过对语篇的总结与复述,让他们运用一定的语言技能,使学习效果有所提高与拓展;对于优等生而言,使他们能够综合运用所学知识语言,培养逻辑思维能力和语言表达能力。总之,分层布置作业可以让学生体验成功的喜悦,教师可以关注到每一位学生的成长。
Teaching reflection 本节课的设计通过:阅读前-阅读中-阅读后,这三大部分展开。将阅读课与实践活动课综合,将枯燥的听说读写练习与综合语言运用能力相结合,把学生们的学校生活融于英语教学,这大大提高了他们英语语言学习兴趣。 同时,学生们在“做中学”的教育理念指导下,对知识的记忆更加深刻,运用所学知识灵活处理信息的能力也有较大的改进。本课的不足之处在于:学生游戏时,我临时充当裁判唱歌部分,如果当时能想到唱英语歌曲会更好一些。在内化学生的情感目标时,孩子们若能吟唱GOOD LUCK TO YOU 比单纯的欣赏更能激发兴趣,也更有利于培养他们的综合语言运用能力。 通过学生们课堂活动设计与展示环节的表现,我发现:给学生们布置合理的团队任务,并规定任务时间,孩子们的协作能力和任务完成的效率完全超乎老师的想象:本班的四十名学生,是全级 十二个班级中各学科学习基础偏差的,但孩子们还是在尽力的调动自己的知识储备,尽量克服站在台前的恐惧心理,为团队的利益贡献自己的微小力量,对于孩子们的表现,我很满意也很受感动。 有一组学生在活动设计时,想到了将老师也纳入他们的团队,这是我始料未及的,但也从中可以看出:教师如果在平时的教育教学中多站在孩子们的角度考虑他们的处境,能换位思考孩子们的压力和无奈,孩子们很容易将老师视为他们的良师益友,时时处处在人格上何和老师保持平等。
