名词所有格一般由名词与后面的“’s”构成,意为“……的”,表示所属关系。具体形式有以下几种:
1. 单数名词和不以-s结尾的复数名词在
词尾加’s。如:
the boy’s mother 男孩的母亲
women’s clothes 女人的衣服

2. 以-s结尾的复数名词只需在词尾加’。

3. 不以-s结尾的不规则名词的复数形

4. 人名后面常常加“ ’s ”。如果人名是以“-s”结

形容词性物主代词相当于一个形容词,在句中作定语,后面需接名词。

名词性物主代词起名词的作用,也意为“……的”,但后面不可再接名词,能单独使用。
e.g. Alice’s dress is red. Mine is blue.
