Step 1 Greeting & Review● Greet students as usual.● Show students some pictures of daily activities. “Imagine you are the boy or the girl in the picture , try to describe your day”. Encourage some poor students to say the activities. ● Next, show them a comic. “Imagine you are the student in the picture. Try to work in pairs and help each other to talk about your day”.● Encourage different students to show their work, encourage others listen carefully and correct mistakes. Remind them to use next, then...to describe times.Step 2 3a Match● First ask them to read the sentences together. “Number these sentences in order to make a storyabout a daily routine. If you have difficulties, you mayhelp each other.”● Students try to number the sentences.● Have different students show their answers. Help them to know the activities has a time order.Step 3 Language points & Writing skills ● Help students get familiar with the word “life”. Encourage them to take notes. ● “How can we write about our daily life First we should write a topic sentence. Then we should write our articles in time order. It is important to use correct adverbials and preposition to describe times”Step 4 3b Write ● “Now let’s write about our own daily routine. But it is necessary to make a good preparation first.” Encourage students to write the key vocabulary and sentences on a piece of paper. Then try to make them up. ● Students write their own articles for 10 minutes. Then check by asking them to read articles. Have others correct mistakes. ● Finally remind them of the key points of writing. ● Show them a sample article.Step 5 Self Check 1 ● “Match the verbs in column A with the words in column B. Then use the phrases to complete the sentences” ● Remind them to make clear the meaning of each word and phrase first. Then read the sentences and find out the key words to help choose correct phrases. Finally read the sentences again to make sure you are right. ● Students match the verbs quickly. Then check answers by reading them. ● Encourage them to fill in the blanks using the phrases. Check their answers by reading them.Step 6 Complete ● Call attention to the two conversations. Remind them of the methods. ● Have them complete the conversations by themselves. Ask several of them to write their sentences on the blackboard. Correct mistakes, remind them of the singular third person. Step 7 Summary ● Help students to review how to write an article about their daily life.
