1. hundred 的用法
数词，意为“一百”。当我们表达具体的“几百”时， 用“基数词+ hundred，注意此时 hundred不能加s， 如: five hundred 五百

every day意为“每天”，在句中作时间状语，是一般现在时的标志词(组)之一。
其中 every是形容词，意为“每一；每个”。
如：I read books every day.

【辨析】 every day与 everyday
every day：副词短语, 意为“每天”, 表示事情发生的频率, 在句中作状语。如: I play basketball every day.我每天打篮球。
every day：形容词, 意为“每天的; 日常的”, 在句中作定语。
如：In my everyday life, I like reading books.
在我的日常生活中, 我喜欢读书。
3. How long does it take you to get to school
你到学校需要用多少时间？
1) It + takes sb + some time + to do sth
表示做某事花了某人多少时间。
如：It takes me half a day to do my homework.
做作业花了我半天时间。
在英语中表花费的词还有很多，如：pay, spend, cost 等。
2) sb + pay + some money + for + sth
表示某人花钱买某物。
如：She pays 50 yuan for the dictionary.
她花50元买这本字典。
3) sb + spend +时间/金钱 + (in) doing sth.
某人做某事花了...时间/金钱
如: 他玩了两小时电子游戏。
He spent two hours (in) playing computer games.
4) sb + spend +时间/金钱 + on sth.
某人在某物上花了...时间/金钱
如: 她买那条裙子花了150元。
She spent 150 yuan on the skirt.
5) sth. + costs (sb.) ＋金钱
某物花了(某人)多少钱
如：买一台新电脑要花一大笔钱。
A new computer costs a lot of money.

我不很肯定……大约10千米？
sure在此句中意为“确信的，确定的，肯定的，有把握的”。
sure 相关句型：
(1)be sure to do sth. 意为“一定，务必（做某事)”。
例: 务必代我向你的家人问好。
Be sure to give your family my regards.
(2)be sure of 意为“确信…；有把握…”。
例: 我确信能赢得这场比赛。
I’m sure of winning the game.
(3)make/be sure + that从句，意为“确信…”，
当从句主语与主句主语一致时，可与“be sure to do sth.” 替换。
例：我肯定帮你。
