教学目标
1、知识与技能
听、说、认读形容词 small, big, long, short。
过程与方法
能用“ Look at... It's ... ”的句型介绍动物特征。
进一步掌握表示高矮、胖瘦的单词 tall, short, fat, thin，并结合本课的对话用这几个单词来描述某物的简单情况。
3、情感态度与价值观
在活动中习得语言，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。教育学生动物是我们人类的好朋友，要珍惜爱护动物。
4、教学重点、难点：
单词tall中[ l ]的发音thin中的th的发音，short中的sh的发音

教学过程
一 导入
1.Greeting.
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning.
T: How are you
Ss: I am fine, thank you. What about you
T: I am very well. Thanks.
(过渡：Now, let's play a game.)
2.TPR
Touch your nose. Touch your eye. Touch your ear. Touch your mouth. Touch your ...
（设计意图：通过与学生的日常生活用语会话和TPR活动，既复习了新知、活跃了课堂气氛、拉近了师生之间的距离.）
二 新课呈现
Step 1: Enjoy a song

出示zip和Zoom的照片。Do you still remember them Who are they
Let’s go to the zoo.
复习动物的单词。
Step 3: Presentation
1.T: (出示长颈鹿图片，问)What’s this Ss: It’s a giraffe.
T: Wow! It’s so tall. (教学tall并板书)师领读。
[设计意图]：通过观察图片直接发出感叹Wow! It’s so tall.直接导出新单词tall的教学。这种设计比较自然，简洁。并培养同学良好的观察能力。
操练：Be tall. Be tall. Be tall, tall, tall! Look at that giraffe. It’s tall.
[设计意图]：通过边说边表演，不但巩固了新学的单词，又提高了学生的学习积极性；还降低了Let’s do的难度。
2.T: 师指一个比较矮的长颈鹿说It’s short。板书short并教学这个单词。
操练：Be short. Be short. Be short, short, short! Look at that giraffe. It’s short.
[设计意图]：通过边说边表演，不但巩固了新学的单词，又提高了学生的学习积极性；还降低了Let’s do的难度。
3.通过以上方式教学thin与fat。
[设计意图]：通过对比，自然导出short ，thin 与fat的教学。培养了学生敏锐的观察能力。
4.Listen to the tape and repeat.
5.Practise: Say sentences: Look at that ... It’s ...
（设计意图：首先学习新单词，以便于在后面的句型学习中学以致用，单词卡片集图片、动画、声音于一体，图文并茂，更能激发学生的学习兴趣）
Step ４: Practice
播放Let’s learn部分的录音三遍，学生跟读，模仿语音、语调。给学生五分钟自己练习读单词与句子。
教师随意不按顺序指着黑板上的单词，学生齐声读出单词。教师点几名学生起来读单词。
1.Let’s do.
a. Listen to the tape.
b. Listen to the tape again and act it out.
[设计意图]：通过学生表演，增强了对本课单词的记忆力，并提高了学生学习的积极性。
2.Let’s play.
I say you do. (老师发出指令，学生做动作。例如：Be fat. Be fat.同学们做出相应动作)
[设计意图]操练时采用先扶后放的形式，带动全班同学进行表演，从而巩固新知，形成技能。
3.出示不同小动物的图片进行形体比较，学生说句子。
[设计意图]：通过同学们喜欢的小动物图片做比较，不仅培养了学生良好的观察能力，还提高了所学单词的运用能力。
Pair work
看图进行问答练习。
出示课本课件练习。让学生两人一组进行问答练习。然后汇报。
（设计意图：看图让学生两人一组进行问答，然后汇报，大大增加了学生的参与度，提高了课堂效率。）
Step7 : Summary
（听、说、认读）词汇：
thin, short, fat, tall
句子：
Look at that monkey.
It's tall.
（设计意图：让学生对本课所学做个小结。教师也可以了解本课目标是否达成。）
Step 6:Homework
教学反思：
结合教材和学生的身心特点，在本课时的教学设计中，我从学生的兴趣和认识水平出发，利用漂亮的动物图片，玩游戏以及TPR活动学习了几个重要的形容词。让学生在愉快的气氛中学习，激发学生学习英语的兴趣，帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心。
