While you are in trouble, what are you going to do Wait Cry Or run away Those are all the wrong way! Robinson Crusoe can tell you the right answer.
It is an exciting story. Robinson Crusoe hated the comfortable life in his home town. So, he went to be a sailor(水手) and travelled around the world. But one day, something terrible happened. A great storm came and their boat crashed! No one was alive in this accident except Robinson. He was the luckiest man in the world because all his friends were dead but he was alive. However, at the same time he was the most tragic man of all — he must face the fact that he had to be alone on an island without food, water or gun(枪). But all roads lead to Rome. He just used his hands to work hard. Then, he made a cave, built a house, grew corn(玉米) and kept goats. In the end, he could enjoy the life on the island. In his twenty-fourth year on the island, he saved a wild man, and gave him the name of “Friday”. With Robinson’s teaching, “Friday” became a good helper. Finally, they got a boat and left the island.
Surely, the writer of Robinson Crusoe is really a hero. It’s too hard to describe Robinson’s life on the island with words. We could say that Robinson was very clever, and also he was brave. However, the most important thing is what we have learned from the story. That is, use our own hands to work hard with confidence!

F. Scott Fitzgerald, born on September 24, 1896, an American novelist, was once a student of St. Paul Academy, the Newman School and attended Princeton University for a short while.
In 1917 he joined the army and was sent to Alabama, where he met his future wife Zelda Sayre. Then he had to make some money to impress her.
His life with her was full of great happiness, as he wrote in his diary: “My own happiness in the past often approached such joy that I could share it even with the person dearest to me but had to walk it away in quiet streets and take down parts of it in my diary.”
This side of Paradise, his first novel, was published in 1920. Encouraged by its success, Fitzgerald began to spend more time on his writing. Then he continued with the novel the Beautiful and Damned (1922), a collection of short stories Tales of the Jazz Age (1922), and a play The Vegetable (1923). But his greatest successful novel, The Great Gatsby, published in 1925, which quickly brought him praise from the literary(文学) world. Yet it failed to give him the needed financial security. Then, in 1926, he published another collection of short stories All the Sad Young Men.
However, Fitzgerald’s problems with his wife Zelda affected his writing. During the 1920s he tried to reorder his life, but failed. By 1930, his wife had her first mental breakdown and went to a Swiss hospital. During this period he completed novels Tender Is the Night in 1934. Reading is getting more popular among young Chinese. A new survey says that 85% of young people in China read at least 1 book last year. The number of young people who are reading has been rising in recent years, especially for teenagers, who read an average(平均) of 11.5 books.
The data(数据) shows that teenagers spend much more time reading from school textbooks to some other reading materials, such as novels, e— books, magazines and so on. But younger children (ages 2—8) are mainly reading for fun. Compared with the past, the time teenagers spend on pleasure reading has dropped.
When it comes to technology and reading, the server suggests little. It does point out that many parents control the time of electronic reading, mainly because of worrying about increased screen time. However, most Chinese parents are helping their children to develop a reading habit. They are served as examples for their children. More than 70% of Chinese parents spend at least 20 minutes a day reading to their children aged 0 to 8 years old, and visit bookstores with them an average of three times a year. Data shows that kids and teens who do a lot of reading, compared to those who don’t like reading, have more books in the home, and more books brought for them. Their parents read more often, and would like to spare time to read with them.
When was the last time you read a book If you’re one of the countless people who don’t develop a habit of reading, you might be missing out. Everything you read fill your head with new bits of information, and you never know then it might be useful. The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you are to deal with any challenge you’ll face. Remember that although you might lose something else, knowledge can never be taken away from you.
Now open a book, and feed your soul.

BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity. We focus on getting children reading. Each year we reach 3.9 million children across the UK with books, resources and support to help develop a love of reading. Spending time sharing books and stories can help parents and carers support their child’s growing, even at a very young age. Our Time to Read campaign is all about encouraging families keep reading together even once their children begin to read independently — and making sure they get all the benefits reading for pleasure offers. How can shared reading improve good mental health and well-being
First of all, setting aside certain time for just you, your children and a good book will show them that you want to spend quality time together. Side-by-side activities like reading are great chances to improve parent-child relationship and to get them to open up about things on their mind.
Second, if there’s something to do with your little one, a book related to that topic is a great tool to introduce and start a conversation around it. The book can provide structure to your discussion and children will be able to relate to the characters they see in the story. This can help them make sense of their feelings.
Third, there’s nothing like being moved away by a good story. Reading can help children escape into new worlds and can be especially helpful as a way to switch off from the day and deal with stress and worry.
What’s more, choosing a laugh-out-loud book and having a go at all the silly voices and actions is a great way to let loose together. By making story-time fun, you’ll help your child see it as an enjoyable activity that makes them feel really good.
Finally, stories introduce a huge range of feelings and experiences to readers. Reading stories together can help your child to see the world through other people’s eyes. Not only will this help them to better understand their own experiences, it plays a huge role in developing their understanding and allowing them to connect and care for the people around them.

A.sell books to people of all ages B.encourage kids to read books with families

People may have some unclear memories of their childhood, but almost everyone will remember the beautiful princess and the cruel queen in “Snow White”, the little girl and the big gray wolf in “Little Red Riding Hood”. 41. For example, “True love can overcome anything”, and “Even a frog can turn into a prince”. However, at a certain age, we start to learn new things about life, especially that love doesn’t always win, and that a frog is just a frog.
42. Just look at cartoons like “The Lion King” and “Frozen”, which have millions of fans young and old. And this year’s Lucerne Festival in Switzerland—a classical music festival—will also feature the themes of “Childhood” and “Fairy tales”.
“Fairy tales endure because they are the stories of our lives in their most stripped down form,” wrote US author Laura Packer. “They are stories of love and loss, desire and death, riches and ruin.” 43. But if children only see just one side, adults usually see the other. For example, in the movie “Maleficent”《沉睡魔咒》, we’re told the tale of Sleeping Beauty from the perspective of the evil(邪恶)queen. 44. Instead, she suffers great losses growing up, leading to the creation of her “evil” side. And in US author James Finn Gamer’s book “Politically Correct Bedtime Stories”, he tells the classic story of “Little Red Riding Hood”, but with a modern touch.
45. They may usually start with “Once upon a time but as we grow older, we learn that every story doesn’t always need a happily ever after” to be a good one.
A. Fairy tales are all about reality.B.But somehow, our love for fairy tales never dies.C.Most of us get our earliest life lessons from fairy tales.D. The theme of fairy tales is to teach people courage and kindness.E. It looks like fairy tales aren’t just stories our parents read us at bedtime.F. Unlike the children’s version(视角) of the story, we see that the queen wasn’t born this way.

参考范文
The middle school days provide me with enough time to read some fantastic stories. Among them the most unforgettable one is The Cop and the Anthem. It was written by O Henry, a celebrated American writer. The main characters of the story include Soapy, a cop and a waiter. It tells a story about a homeless boy called Soapy. He develops a lot of actions in order to let the police put him into prison. He fails many times and has to give up. Finally, he decides to be a good boy. Unfortunately, he is caught by the policeman although he does nothing. I like it because it is full of interesting things. The humorous writing style tells us the society in a special way. I laughed and at the same time I felt very sorry about Soapy.
