Three education experts in China have written a book titled Save the Boys. According to the book, boys today are failing to become men. Boys, it says, are becoming both physically(身体的) and emotionally(心里的) weak. In effect, they are becoming more girly!
The three experts say the education system is to blame for this terrible change. They say today’s boys have to sit still in classrooms all day. Most of their teachers are women. That means boy students don’t have good role models in school. Apart from school education, popular culture has to shoulder the blame, too many male(男性) role models today are effeminate.
Now, if you are a boy reading this, you shouldn’t get too nervous. The book just talks about social changes in general. These changes have been happening all over the world, not just China. The world has become richer. As a result, the traditional roles of men and women have changed. There is no need for men to protect their families from man-eating tigers. And women don’t depend on men for money any longer. Most of them have their own jobs and careers.
Becoming a man is a difficult process. It takes a long time. Perhaps your best role model is your father. From our fathers, we learn that a man should be honest and kind. Rachel Carson(1907-1964)was a pioneer of the world's environmental movement through her writing about the protection of the natural world. Her 1962 book Silent Spring made her well known by many people. It describes the harmful changes in the environment of using toxic(有毒的)chemicals on farmland.

Up to now, Wood has published more than 60 diaries, and he still updates the diaries frequently on social media websites. In his first diary, he mentioned, “news is going around about a bad cold virus in Wuhan, but I feel worlds away from me and few people wear masks in public.”
He recorded in his diaries that thousands of medical workers from different provinces and cities went to Hubei to help with the anti-epidemic (抗疫). Restaurants and shops were closed down, while supermarkets checked people’s body temperatures. And community workers across the country took strict action, asking people to stay at home and helping the old buy daily necessities.
“People in some countries said these measures could cause panic among the public. However, my experience in China shows these efforts are useful and effective, which finally removed people’s fear,” Wood said.
Wood’s diaries soon attracted the world’s attention. Over 10,000 people left him messages on Facebook, and he was interviewed by Canadian CTV which later showed his diaries on its website.
“I also received greetings from my family and friends in Canada. They said they were inspired by the efforts the Chinese have made, he said. “People from some countries thought the Chinese overreacted, and that the Chinese government had overdone in epidemic prevention and control. However, since more countries and regions have been infected(感染) by the virus, more and more people came to realize how proper and important China’s control and prevention measures are.”

The next time you sit down to a delicious dinner, ask yourself, “How much food will I be able to eat ” If you think about only taking as much food as you eat, it will help cut down waste. Every day, plenty of food goes uneaten and turns into rubbish. This is very sad when we consider that many people can’t even afford to have one meal every day. The problem of waste happens all over the world. People often want more than what they really need.
①The most important thing for us to remember is to be friendly to the environment.
However, since more countries and regions have been infected(感染) by the virus, more and more people came to realize how proper and important China’s control and prevention measures are.”

As we all know, our environment is getting worse and worse . There are many reasons for it. People cut down too many trees and throw rubbish here and there. Factories let out their waste water into the river. This has caused some serious problems. For example, the land is sandy; the river is polluted; even the temperature of the Earth is rising. Also, there are too many cars in the street. The air is polluted and less clean than before.
What shall we do to save her My suggestions are as follows. To begin with, we should plant more trees, put the rubbish into dustbins and stop factories pouring waste into the air or rivers. What’s more, when we go out, we can use sharing bikes or take buses instead of taking cars.
As a student ,we must start small things . At school we can use both sides of paper, at home we also can use used water to water flowers ,it can save energy and be good for our Earth.
We have only one Earth, and we should do everything to protect it, or we’ll regret.
