教 材分 析 本课题是人教版Go for it 七年级英语下册Unit 3 How do you get to school (Section B 3a-Self Check) 的教学设计。其指导思想是依据《新课标》,通过促进学生的语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识等方面的整体发展来培养学生的综合语言运用能力。本节课是一节写作课,主要是针对时间、距离和交通方式进行提问与回答,引导学生使用特殊疑问词how来进行提问。因此如何问答“How do you get to ... ”, “How long does it take ”以及“How far is it ”是本节课围绕的核心话题。本节课的重点是复习本单元内容,并完成一篇作文描述自己上学的相关信息 。
学 情分 析 教学对象为初一学生,英语基础较为薄弱,英语学习的自信心欠缺,不敢当众发言,独立思考的能力较弱,没有合作学习和交流探讨的习惯。但是他们的优势在于他们好奇心强,游戏竞争意识强,模仿能力强,所以我在教学活动中设计了多种形式的任务对于本单元重点知识现在进行时进行反复练习,让他们合作解决,这样能激发他们的兴趣,在自主、合作、探究等活动中体验学习和成功解决困难的愉悦。
教 学目 标 Language ability 语言技能学生能够听、说、读、写关于时间、路程和方式的提问与回答,并能正确使用how引导的特殊疑问句;学生能够准确上学所需时间、距离和交通方式等信息。Language knowledge 语言知识学生能够掌握并正确使用重点词汇:kilometer, take, leave, walk, far学生能够掌握并正确使用以下句型:When do you leave home How do you get to school How far is it How long does it take you to get to school Cultural awareness 文化意识学生了解西方学生上学的方式,体验中西文化差异。Attitude 情感态度培养学生针对日常题材开展small talk 的能力。培养学生积极的学习态度。Learning strategy 学习策略体验合作学习,探究学习以及自主学习的学习策略。使用思维导图,头脑风暴进行作文构思和话题讨论。
教 学重 点与 难点 教 学 重 点 学生能够听、说、读、写关于时间、路程和方式的描述。学生能在作文中正确使用特殊疑问句。学生能够在思维导图的帮助下完成作文的提纲和最终的写作。

Step 1 Lead-in Greetings.Do a math problem. Solve a math problem in English related to time, distance and speed. To show the topic of this class and attract students’ attention to this lesson.
Step 2Review Show some pictures on the screen and review the learnt sentences. Answer some questions about ways, time and distance. To review the importance sentences.
Step 3Practice Have a quiz and check the answers.Let students read an incomplete letter and fill in the blanks. Finish a reading task and do a multiple choice. Read a letter and fill in the blanks. To check students’ reading ability. Make students to grasp the target language.
Step 4Pre-writing Show a Mind Map on the screen and ask students to analyze the structure. Do a survey in groups. Analyze the mind map.Talk about how to get to school in a group and fill in a chart. To apply the Mind Maps to activate students’ ideas. Prepare them for the final writing activity.
Step 5Writing Write the first draft in 8 minutes. Write a letter in 8 minutes. To help students write the letter following a series of steps.
Step 6Post-writing Ask students to exchange their letters. Correct their partners’ letter and underline the good sentences.Let students rate their partners’ essay. Exchange the letters and mark their partners’ letters.Volunteer to read their own letters. To enable students to summarize the common mistakes and good expressions on their own with the help of the teacher.
Step 7Homework Edit their letters after class Polish their letters after class. To consolidate the writing skills they learnt.
