【精讲点拨】
Children should do chores because…孩子们应该做家务是因为……
should是情态动词,意思为“应该”,在句中不能单独使用,需和行为动词一起在句中做谓语,并用动词原形。
例如:⑴ We should read English every morning. 我们应该每天早上都读英语。
⑵ I have a headache. What should I do 我头痛。我应该怎么办?
I agree/disagree that…我同意/我不同意……
agree是动词,意思为“同意”,反义词为“disagree”,意思为“不同意”。所提供的例句中,that后跟一个句子,称为含有宾语从句的复合句。
例如: I agree that the children should do chores at home when they are free.
我认为孩子们有空时应该做家务。
【拓展】agree的用法: agree后面接介词法比较复杂,常见用法有:
(1)涉及讨论的题目用about。 例如:They never agree about politics.
(2)涉及意思、想法、分析、解释以及涉及人的时候用with。
例如:They might not agree with his opinions.
英文书信的格式:
(1)信头:发信人地址和日期。
有时可省去发信人地址,但一般要写日期。放在信纸的右上方。
(2)称呼:对收信人的尊称。
常用Dear,后用名字,而Mr,Mrs,Miss后不能单独用名字,而是姓或姓与名,如:John Smith的称呼,是Mr Smith,Mr John Smith或 Dear John,,称呼后用逗号。
(3)正文。
(4)结尾:发信人对收信人的谦称或敬语。放在信的右下方。要特别注意英语习惯,不可根据汉语意思写“此致敬礼”、“祝您健康”之类的中国式的结尾语。
写给同龄人或年长的朋友: Yours sincerely,Yours等等。
写给亲朋好友: Love,Best wishes等等。
