Unit 3 Language in use教学设计
教材分析:
1. 本模块以“失物招领和寻物启示”为话题,分设三个课时进行学习。本节课是这个模块中的第三课时,是一节复习课。
2. 本模块功能:失物招领。
学情分析:
学生已经学过一些有关失物招领的简单对话,对于丢失的东西应该放在哪里以及去哪
认领有了初步的认识。
2. 学生们对于名词性物主代词和形容词性物主代词的区分掌握得不扎实,借此模块的语法学习,可以帮助学生们更好地掌握这个语法难点。
教学目标:
1. 通过本节课的学习,学会总结整个模块的信息。
2. 能听懂有关失物招领的简单对话。
3. 能用名词性物主代词来谈论、寻找失物主人。
4. 能阅读关于介绍失物招领的文章。
5. 能写失物招领启事和寻物启事。
6. 能够表演寻找失物及归还失物的对话。
重点难点:
1. 询问失物以及失主。
2. 学会去失物招领处去寻找。
3. 创设情境,将本单元所学的失物招领方式运用到实际生活当中。
教学过程:
活动1:【导入】Present the task
Step 1 Present the task
Set the task: to go to a lost and found office and look for things.
( To make clear the aim of this module)
活动2:【活动】Revise the words
Step 2 Revise the words
Guessing game
1. Show a lost and found box to the class, the box will give them some information, and according to the information, the students guess what’s in it
The students use the sentences: Is this / Are they … in the box
The teacher answers “Yes” or “No”.
2. The teacher leads the words that they learnt before.
(bag, crayons, eraser, football, gloves, wallet, watch, camera)
3. Read the words together.
(This step aims to activate students’ vocabulary of lost things in the lost and found box. Meanwhile, since it is a guessing game, it can arouse students’ learning interest and attract their attention at once)
活动3:【活动】Make a survey
Step 3 Make a survey
1. Show the students a table, make a survey in a group.
2. The students ask and answer:
—What do you often lose
—I often lose…
3. Group leader make a report about the survey.
(Here is for students to review the sentence pattern and target words. The activiey can stimulate the classroom atmosphere)
活动4:【练习】Oral practice
Step 4 Oral practice
1. Show the students an example, ask and answer between the teacher and lost and found box.
Box:Can I help you
Student:I’m looking for…
Box: Ok, what colour is it
S: It’s …
Box: And what’s the brand
S: The brand name, it’s….
Box: Ok, can you tell me more about it

Box: Ok, is it yours

2. Two or three students do the exercise.
(This step aims to input the sentence structure and set a model of students’ oral outcome by practising.)
活动5:【练习】Role play
Step 5 Role play
1. Students are asked to make a conversation about looking for something.
2. Role play: If you lose something, go to the lost and found office and look for it.
(Give the students confidence and pave the way for students to make a conversation in a lost and found office later, it aims to let students use these sentences in their real lives.)
活动6:【拓展】Go to the Internet lost and found
Step 6 Go to the Internet lost and found
1. Read the book Around the world
2. Ask the students: What can you find on the Internet
3. Teacher leads the students find something on the Internet.
(This step aims to tell the way of finding something on the Internet.)
活动7:【练习】How to write lost and found notes
Step 7 How to write lost and found notes
1. How to describe the lost things.
(This step aims to let students know what they need ask for, when somebody lose something.)
2. How to write lost and found notes.
(1) Put the pieces of lost and found notes in order.
(2) Fill in the blanks. Let the students know what lost and found notes contain.
(3) Write lost and found notes. The students find their lost things in class by the notes.
(This step helps the students know how to write lost and found notes step by step.)
活动8:【练习】Writing
Step8 Writing
1. The students watch a viedo about one student looking for something.
2. The students help her write a composition.
3. The teacher corrects the compostion, and let two or three students correct the other compositions.
活动9:【活动】Summarizing
Step 9 Summarizing
1. Summarize what to do when losing things.
(This step aims to let the students summarize what they should do if losing thins.)
2. Remind students to be careful with things.
After the lesson, remind students to be careful with things when travelling or in a hurry and be kind to give it back when finding something.
活动10:【作业】Homework
Step 10 Homework
1. For all the students
Make a summary of module 1 draw a mind map about lost and found.
2. Optional
Write down a conversation in the lost and found office.
