教材 分析 The third unit of this module is the summary of module 12 about Western music. Students are interested in the topic and they are expected to know more about music, musicians and composers. It’s better to lead them to introduce our Chinese music to foreigners.
教学 目标 1.To grasp some new words of this module. 2.To grasp exclamatory sentences and alternative questions. 3. To be able to express preference. 4. To be able to write about Chinese music.
知识 与 能力 1. To learn to use exclamatory sentences and alternative questions in proper ways. 2. To be able to use the right reading skills. 3. To learn to describe a kind of music they have chosen.

1. Warming up and lead in ( 5’ ) 1.To show the aims of this lesson and enable students to get ready for the new lesson 2. To review some new words of this module to make the students get ready for this lesson. 3.To help know about the Western music better and get ready for the new lesson with great interest . 1. Ask Ss to read the learning objectives. 2.Ask the students to do Activity3 in books and then lead them to review some new words. 3. Ask Ss to watch a video and a picture about Vienna New Year’s concert, then show them the Around the world. 1. Watch and read 2. Write the words and expression into correct column. 3.Watch the video and read the Around the world.
2. Self-learning and Teaching (explanation) ( 28’ ) To have the students prepare for the following question. 2.To review the alternative questions. 3.To help the students learn how to change a declarative sentence into an exclamatory sentence by playing a video (micro -class) 4.To know more about Western musicians and learn how to choose the right words to finish a conversation. Show another short period of music about Beijing Opera. ①Ask students a question by using alternative questions. ②Ask students to do Activity 2 ③Have the students do listening exercises about alternative questions and then check the answers. 3. ①Play a video (micro -class) about changing a declarative sentence into an exclamatory sentence ②To ask students to do Activity 2. and check the answers. 4.Ask students to read the conversation in Activity 4 twice after showing the photo of Beethoven, and then make a presentation. Ss watch the video . 2.①Answer a question. ②Do Activity2. ③Do Listening exercises. 3. ①Ss listen and take some notes in their guiding papers. ②To do Activity 2. 4.Ss read the conversation twice and read it in pairs .
3. Cooperation and discussion ( 3’ ) . To consolidate what they have learnt. Ask students to write exclamatory sentences and alternative questions according to the given Chinese. Ss translate the Chinese sentences into English.
4.Self- generation ( 8’ ) To cultivate Ss’ culture character and prepare for the writing task about the Beijing Opera. Ask Ss to work in groups to discuss and finish the composition. Show the composition on the screen. Talk about Beijing Opera according to the given Chinese meaning. Choose the best one to read and share.
