Teaching procedures
Step 1 Preparation
Show the lyrics on the Bb, and teach the Ss to sing the song.
on 在上面，under 下面
by在旁边，in里面
between 中间，behind 后面
in front of 在中间。
Step 2 Presentation& Practice.
Presentation 1
Look at the table in 3a.
T: Do you have a pencil box？
S1: Yes, I do.
T: Where is it?
S1: It’s on my desk.
T: Do you have CDs?
S2: Yes, I do.
T: Where are they?
S2: They are on the sofa.
Practice 1
Write the two dialogues on the Bb and ask Ss to repeat.
Ss work in pairs to ask and answer questions like the above ones and fill the table at the same time.
Presentation 2
According to the table in 3a, ask Ss to write about where the things are in their room. Try to use the word “ and” .
Practice 2
Sample:
My radio is on the table and my books are in my schoolbag.
My tapes are in the box and my dictionary is on the chair.
Presentation 3
Show the students some pictures to review the things about furniture and stationary we have learnt.

Let’s play a guessing game:
Collect some objects from some Ss and ask the class to close their eyes. Put the things in different places in the classroom.
Ss open the eyes and guess where the things are.
S1: Is the dictionary in the desk?
T: No, it isn’t.
S2: Is it on the chair?
T: Yes ,it is.
2. When Ss find all the things in the classroom ,ask them to write about the things with in ,on and under.
