【教学目标】
1．能够掌握课标要求的“四会”词汇：Used, divide, seat, ton.
2．能了解如何介绍自己参加的环保行动。
3．能了解日记的正确写法。
【教学重难点】
1．掌握一些与介绍环保活动有关的词汇：Clean, protect, environment, stop, pollution, sort.
2．运用所学知识介绍自己参加环保活动的情况。
3．掌握以下重点句子：
（1）It was great to see everyone working together!
（2）Most o the garbage was paper.
（3）We will see the workers sort all of our garbage for recycling.
（4）If each of us does something for the environment, all of us will have a better life.
【教学过程】
Ⅰ．Lead-in
Discuss the following questions:

2．T: What have you done in a schoolyard clean-up

3．T: What do you often do with the garbage

4．Discuss the questions in groups.
Divide the class into groups of three or four to finish the task. After several minutes, let some students come to the front to show it.
Ⅱ．Listening
Listen to the tape and answer the following questions:
1．What did Danny, Jenny and Brian do on World Environment Day
2．What did they do after they saw the garbage
3．What did Danny do with the old toy car
Finish the task in class orally.
Ⅲ．Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions:
1．How did they feel when they saw everyone working
2．What were the wheels of the toy car made of
3．How can we protect the environment together
Finish the task in class orally.
Ⅳ．Activities
1．Read the text again and let the students retell the passage in their own words. Don't read the passage. Let them sum up the main idea of the passage.
2．Ask some students to speak in front of the class.
Ⅴ．Come to "Let's Do It!"
1．Read the lesson again and finish off Exercise 1.
2．Complete the dialogue of Exercise 2 together.
