With strangers’ help, Peter came back home safely. But he didn’t find the right way to deal with communication problem with his mom until he read an article.
Many children are unhappy to do chores, but they should do it. As a student, it is not enough to just get good grades at school. Doing chores helps to develop children’s independence and teaches them how to look after themselves. As a member of the family, it is their responsibility to do their part in doing something like doing the dishes after meals. So it is important for parents to know how to assign chores wisely:
Have a family meeting with your children. Begin with saying that there is so much rubbish in the dirty house. And let all of them agree to do chores after the decision.
Decide who gets what chores. A four-year-old child should not have to clean the whole house. But a teenager shouldn’t just work on easy chores.
Try to give children a little something extra. A good reward for them is necessary. If someone does well, you can buy their favorite snacks. You can also give them some money if possible.
Read and find out the main idea:
Read again and list all the helpful ways:
Make proper decisions according to the family meeting.
Decide who gets what chores according to the ability.
Give them something extra as a reward.
