Lesson 37 I Like Geography
一、教学目标
语言知识
熟练掌握本单元的重点单词和重要词组。要求学生能听懂、会说、识记这些词汇。
教师根据课文内容提出相关讨论问题,通过课堂的师生互动过程,运用已有的语言知识进行交流与讨论,培养学生的语言表达及语言运用能力,促进学生口语交际能力的提升。
情感态度目标
1)关注学生的情感,营造宽松、民主、和谐的氛围,进一步提高学生对英语的学习热情,增强学习兴趣。培养学生积极主动地参与课堂活动,大胆开口,积极讨论。
2)结合地理知识,使学生们在不同的文化背景之下学习和掌握世界文化。
学习策略
以学生为主体,以能力培养为宗旨,创设多种多样的方式和机会让学生通过自主、合作、探究等学习方式来获得新知识。注重教与学的互动和生生互动,将集体学习与小组学习相结合。

Learn some new words about oceans, countries, cities, food ,culture and so on..
Know the differences in different countries. Learn about the world.

二、学情分析
本课是八年级下册第七单元第一课时。题目为《I like geography》是通过让学生了解世界地理找到旅游是学习地理最好方式进一步了解世界和旅游所带来的乐趣通过小组讨论的方式让每个人体会旅行的有益之处。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,减少他们的恐惧感,通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。提高他们综合运用语言的能力,使各层次的学生都有所收获。
三、教学过程

It took me six hours to fly to Thailand. I felt tired but excited. I liked this trip very much.
I visited many places of interest. The Grand Palace is a wonderful place. There were many beautiful statues in it. I learned about colorful and special culture.
Pattaya is one of the most famous islands in Thailand. I had a great time there. I swam in the clear sea and tasted the fresh seafood and enjoyed the beautiful view.
In a word, I like this trip very much. I hope to go abroad again someday. Now I am considering which country I should visit next time.
