教材分析 海外暑期英语课程越来越受家长和孩子的追捧,日益成为学生暑期生活的一部分。而受地域和高昂价格的限制,一直是比较有争议的话题。本单元就是以海外暑期英语课程为话题的一则广告,分别从课程、师资、住宿和课外活动几方面进行宣传。而广告这一特殊的文体,学生在初中阶段首次遇到,因此如何让学生从体裁了解广告的构成要素,体会广告语言的说服力和感染力,区分广告中的事实与观点,提升辨别力,培养其批判性思维,是编者意图所在。
学情分析 暑期海外英语课程对于学生来说,并不陌生,学生非常热衷参与此项活动,所以对于学习本篇文章,应该兴趣很高。但广告这一特殊文体,在初中阶段首次出现,如何了解广告的构成要素,体会广告语言,是本单元的重难点。另外,本课生词达17个,抽象词偏多,对于学生理解文章也是一个挑战。
教学目标 通过本课时教学,让学生能够:1.在语境中猜测并认读下列词汇:learn about American culture, at the same time, last for four weeks, depend on your personal choice, provide books, set tests, check your progress, stay as a guest, daily life, fill out our form,be certain to do2.通过读海外英语课程的广告,识别文章体裁,分析广告的构成要素,区分事实与观点,说出广告意图;3.通过整理、分析、归纳信息,选择或记录暑期英语课程信息;4.通过区分广告的事实与观点,阐述是否参加的理由,培养批判性思维,理性消费。
评价任务 评价标准

教材分析 第二单元的课文是关于洛杉矶暑期英语课程的宣传,语言具有感染力,具有不同的语言风格。广告风格的文章,在初中阶段首次出现,可以丰富学生的文章体裁认知。文章涉及含有but、and、or的并列句,但比较简单,利于学生掌握,不作为教学重点;生词有17个之多,需要掌握词的用法的有5个。
学情分析 本课生词多,内容长,对于学生来说,如何恰当断句,准确朗读课文有比较大的难度。抽象意义单词偏多,单词的用法复杂,需要通过大量的练习来掌握。如何在第一课时理解内容的基础上,转化为自己的语言,准确复述,也是本课的难点。
教学目标 通过本课时教学,让学生能够:1.通过跟读、自读、互读,准确、流利朗读课文;2.正确用provide, progress, prefer, depend, as well as翻译、填词、造句;在语境中体会、归纳and,but,or的意义,准确连句;3.根据思维导图,准确、流利地复述课文;4.根据U2课文,仿写一则中文暑期课程广告;
