主要教学步骤
Step 1: Lead-in (1)At the beginning of the class, greet the class with a smile and review some words, phrases, important sentences in the last period. (2)the teacher will ask students to make a passage. The passage must be related to the following questions: a. How do you get to school b. How long does it take to get to school c. How far is it from your home to school After 3 minutes,some students will be invited to share their passages. Step2:Presentation The teacher will show students some pictures of different kinds of stations such as bus stop, bus station, train station, subway station. Then ask students two questions: Q1:What's this Q2:What is its function 5 minutes will be given to discuss these questions, then two students will be share their answers. The teacher will give his own comments on these answers. Step3:Practice (1)Ask students to look at 1a, then match the words with the pictures. Check the correct answers with the class. (2)Pair wok Ask the students to make conversations with their partners. The conversations are about how you get to school. Your partner asks questions and you answer his question, and you tell him how you get to school. Imagine you use two types of transportation. You can ask and answer like this: A:How do you get to school B:Well, I ride my bike to the subway station. Then take the subway. 10 minutes will be given to complete the conversation. Some students will be invited to act out their conversations. Listening Before listening, ask the students to look at these things in 1c and guess what Mary wants to know.The teacher plays the first recording. After listening, ask the students to check these things Mary wants to know. Then the teacher plays the second recording. Students check their answers during the second recording, and then the teacher gives the correct answer. Listen again, then look at 1d, How does Bob get to his grandparents' home Choose the correct answer from 1 or 2. (4)Talk about how Bob gets to his grandparents' home with their partners.
