But for the students in one small village in china, it is difficult.
There is a very big river between their school and village.
Many of the students and villagers never leave the village.

Step I Greetings and lead-in Let students review what they have learned last time and select lucky birds to talk about how to get to school. Make a duty report. Talk about how to get to school, the distance between two places and the time it takes. Review the topic of Section A.
Step II Pre-reading Enjoy the video of Micro learning Resource on the website again. Learn the new words and get to know the meaning of them. Get the students have some preparation for today’s passage. Check on what students have learned before class.
Do a quiz. Do some exercises.
Step III listening &skimming Play a game. Let students listen to the recording of the text to get the standard pronunciation and intonation .let the students scan the article to find its main idea and complete chart with proper information. Play a game on their pad. First listen to the recording(Students can pointed to the words while listen with their fingers. second, scan the article and finger out the key information. To relax their minds. Make the students master the standard pronunciation and intonation and the ability to get the main idea quickly. Improve the students reading skills of skimming. To relax their minds.
Step IV careful reading &scanning First,Let the students read and do the matching practice to find the main idea of the passage. To match the gist of each paragraph with the appropriate para. number. Guide the students to learn how to get detailed information by themselves and encourage them to solve the problems by cooperation ..
Second, Let the students read through the first paragraph. And then pick students randomly to answer three questions. lead students to read the questions and try to solve them by themselves .
Third ,let the students read the second paragraph to themselves and enjoy reading with emotion. And then discuss two questions in group. Let students feel the charming of English . have them discuss to solve problems in group.
Finally, let the students read the last paragraph aloud together and do a fill-in exercise. Let students do the exercise on their own pad and cultivate their comprehensive ability of using language..
Step V Classroom Practice Let the students do a exercise to check how well they master the article. The students do the exercises. Practicing their comprehending ability.
Step VI Check and consolidation (story time) Let the students retell the story using their own words. Retell the story using their own words. Consolidate what they have learned and check their abilities they have.
