There was a dog running and barking (吠)on the street. Many cars passed by quickly.It was in great danger. It seemed that it got lost and forgot the way home. Seeing this, Jim went over to hold it and wanted to help it find the owner. Then he started asking people if they lost their dog.
First he saw a man on the street. The man was cutting down a tree. “ Do you lose a dog ” He asked the man. The man smiled and said, “No. My dog is at home, safe in the cage”. Then he went on and saw a woman carrying water home. “ Do you lose a dog ” He asked. “ No, I don't have a dog. But I like this dog because it looks like a symbol of good luck.” At last, he saw a boy crying on the roadside. When the dog saw him. it ran to him and walked on two legs looking at him happily. The boy was the dog's owner. He thanked Jim for saving his dog from the cars. And then the boy and the dog went home happily
