Analysis of the teaching materials:
以读促写的课型要求阅读作为输入，写作作为输出。本堂课选取的文本是 Go For It 七年级 11 单元第二部分 Section B 的阅读内容。从话题上讲，这部分围绕学生研学活动展开；从文本类型上讲， 属于应用类文本当中的日记。阅读过程中，要求学生准确提取文中的信息，进行对比和分析；写作过程中，要求学生对文本结构准确把握，同时要求学生准确使用文中句型，并注意日记的格式和一般过去时的使用。结合自身的研学旅行，以日记的形式呈现研学的一天。
Analysis of the students:
七年级 C7 班的同学已经完成 11 单元除写作部分的所有内容，在课本语境中，能较准确地使用动词过去式进行表达；在真实语境中的表达仍在练习当中。C7 班的同学基础较薄弱，所以在以读促写过程中运用了很多 controlled-task 来帮助学生进行目标语言、结构的搭建和输出，并且利用思维导图的形式来归纳、总结、运用阅读中获取的目标语言和句型。虽基础较弱，但 C7 班的同学乐于表达， 思维较活跃，能在指导下进行有效的笔头输出和表达，达到本次课堂的教学目标：用日记形式记录研学的一天。

2.Pre-writing Ask Ss to observe the diary entry written by Helen and Jim to find out the format of a diary entry and finish the mind-map. Ask Ss to read quickly to analyze the structure and finish the mind-map. Ask Ss to divide the two dairies into three parts separately. Summarize the structure with the Ss. 3. Ask Ss to read again to work out the content and finish the mind-map. Beginning: topic sentence (what + where + how) Body: activities (the train + the museum + the gift shop) Ending: feelings 4. Group work: Ask Ss to read carefully to work on the language used and finish the mind-map. Two Ss work on the diary entry written by Helen and two Ss work on the diary entry written by Jim.
