Analysis on the Teaching Material Class Type Reading
Teaching Objectives Knowledge and ability: 1. Ss can read and understand the new words and phrases: India, scary, scared, snake, forest, put up tents, get a surprise. 2.Ss will be able to have an overall idea about Lisa’s weekend and understand some details of the passage. 3.With the help of pictures and key words, Ss can retell the story of Lisa’s camping experience. They are expected to use the past tense of verbs correctly.
Emotion: Ss will be willing to develop the consciousness of safety when they go camping.
Learning strategy: Make predictions about the passage according to the title and the picture. Skim to find the topic sentence. Scan to obtain some detailed information. Skills to put the activities in the right order.
