本节课主要学习谈论生日和日期的表达方式;通过找出序数词的拼写规律以及通过听录音了解并掌握序数词的拼写及读音;还将通过匹配图文和对比了解日期的不同表达法,学习美式英语和英式英语的差异。另外,学生还将继续巩固由be动词构成的一般过去时的句型。 Ⅱ. Teaching aims 1. Knowledge aims
学习下列词汇并运用于情景对话中:
birthday, date, calendar, plan, celebrate, party 能够熟练拼读、书写序数词:
first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth等; 能够用英语谈论生日和日期的表达法,如:
(1) —When is your birthday —May 13th. (2) —What’s the date today —It’s May 8th. 2. Skill aims
能够听懂有关询问生日、谈论日期的表达方式,并做出正确地回答; 能够应用询问生日的表达方式进行简单的交流; 能够用正确地语音、语调朗读对话;
能够应用本课重点句型编写谈论生日、日期的对话。

Step 1. Review
1. Revise the words of months in a year .
2. Ask and answer in pairs:
When were you born I was born in .... Where were you born I was born in ...
When was he/she born He / She was born in ....
Where was he/she born He / She was born in.....
Step 2. Presentation
1.Do 2a. Learn the new words on the screen; Find out the changing rules of ordinal numbers.
2.Listen, check and repeat. Fill in the blanks. Finish 2a.
3.Do 1a. Answer the questions:
T: When were you born
S1: I was born in + 时间
T: Where were you born
S2: I was born in + 地点
T: When is your birthday
S3:My birthday is ...
4.Listen and try to find the answers:
When is Kangkang’s birthday
How does he celebrate it
5. Let students read after the tape.
Step 3. Consolidation
1.Pair work. Read the dialog in pairs (in turns) and make up a new one. Then show it to the class.
2.Do 1b. Listen to 1a and match the questions with the correct answers. Then check the answers in pairs. 3.Do 2b. Try to answer the questions: T: What’s the date today
S1: It’s July the seventh, nineteen thirty -seven.
Step 4. Practice
1. Show a picture in 3 and make a model: “When was Kangkang born He was born on May 13th,2000. Where was he born?He was born in China.” (老师解释:某一日之前,介词用on; 某一年,某一月,某个地方之前,介词用in) Show the next three pictures and let students ask and answer in pairs.
Then students ask and answer in pairs, finish 3.
