主要教学步骤
Step 1:Lead-in Greet the class with a smile. Review the words and phrases in this unit. Ask students to read the words and phrases in the word list of this unit three times each. Ask the following questions, and then ask some students to give their answers. Q1:How do you get to school today Q2:How long does it take Q3:How far is it from your home to school Step2:Reading Let the students read this e-mail quickly and get the main idea of this e-mail.Then look at these words in the box, read this e-mail carefully again, fill in the blanks with these words in the box.Then the teacher checks the answers. Step3:Practice (1)Ask students to write an e-mail to Tom and tell him how you get to school. Look at these questions in 3b, these questions may help you.You can also imitate Tom's e-mail above. After 15 minutes, exchange your e-mails with your deskmate, correct each other and give each other some suggestions. Then revise your e-mail. The teacher will invite several students to share their e-mails, and the teacher will give comments and feedback. (2)Ask students to look at these words in the box in Self Check1. Use the words in the boxes to form as many expressions as possible.You can form it like this: take a bus/ by bus. After 3 minutes, invite some students to give their expressions. (3)Look at the chart of self check2, write at least five questions according to the information in the chart, and then answer these questions. After writing, practice these sentences with your partner. You ask these questions, and your partner answers. After 10 minutes, invite several pairs to act out their sentences. If students make mistakes in sentences, the teacher should give correction and feedback.
