一、教材分析
本课出自外研社《英语》(新标准)(三年级起点)五年级下册Module10 Unit2 I’m in New York now.本单元的话题是谈论自己的旅行经历。本单元的课文情境是Daming 写给父母的一封信。Daming在信上说,他已于昨日平安抵达纽约,奶奶和Simon去机场接他,他们随后乘坐一辆黄色的出租车去了Simon家。Daming还说,纽约非常漂亮,高楼林立,车水马龙。奶奶为Daming 做了中国菜,不过Daming 更想尝尝美国菜,他想更多地了解美国。 通过学习本课课文,使学生能够运用所学语言简单谈论自己的旅行经历。本课一课时完成。
2、学情分析
本模块的学习重点是复习、巩固一般过去时的运用。通过不断的强化,使全班同学都能基本掌握行为动词的过去式。并学会运用 “I’m in New York now”, “I arrived here yesterday” 等句型结构谈论自己的旅行经历。
3、教学目标
1.语言知识目标
⑴ 全体学生能够初步运用语句:“I’m in New York now”, “I arrived here yesterday” 谈论自己的旅行经历。
⑵ 全体学生能理解词汇:pet, building, American, find out, more
全体学生能运用词汇:speak
部分学生能运用词汇:pet, building, American, find out, more
⑶ 能感知 “who”与 “whose” 中 “wh”的读音,“when”与“what” 中“wh”的读音, “write”与“wrong”中 “wr”的读音。
2.语言技能目标
⑴ 全体学生能听懂:“I’m in New York now”, “I arrived here yesterday”
⑵ 全体学生能说:“I’m in New York now”, “I arrived here yesterday”
⑶ 全体学生能认读课文,阅读相关短文。
⑷ 全体学生能按要求完成语句书写。
3、情感态度
在学习活动中充分发扬团队精神,并积极尝试使用英语
乐于接触外国文化,能进一步注意到中外文化异同。

积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。

六、教学过程
(一)复习导入Warm-up and lead-in( 5分钟)
1. Greetings.
T: Good morning boys and girls. How are you today
T: What did we learn in Module 10 Unit 1 Ss:
2. Free talk: Talk about the weekend plan.
T:Let’s talk about your weekend plan for this week in your group according to the table. Teacher shows table on PPT.
【设计意图】通过对话练习,复习模块一所学的知识点。
3. Lead-in.
T: I also want to travel with my pet dog. Do you have a pet S: …
T:The boy has got a pet. Let’s have a look what is it.
T:What is it Ss: It’s a parrot.
…T:What does the parrot do Ss: It speaks English.
T:just English Ss: It speaks English and Chinese too. ( 此处根据学生的回答可省略)
Let’s watch the CD-ROM and check the answers together.

(二)任务呈现Task presentation
. T: Write a letter to your friend and tell her/him your plan for next holiday.
Show the task of this lesson with PPT. After lesson, we will talk about your traveling plan for next holiday.
T: First let’s learn M10U2.
【设计意图】通过任务呈现,使学生明确学习目标以及学习之后要完成的任务。
(三)课文学习Text learning(15 分钟)
1. Look and say. Feel the situation and learn a target sentence “I arrived here yesterday”.
Step1: T:Look at this picture .Where is Daming now Ss:
T: Are they in China Where are they
T:Yes. They are in America now. ( Write down the word “America” on the blackboard.)
Step2: Let’s learn more through watching the video. T shows the table. Students will answer the questions according to the table after listening. T shows family tree and then let students to know the meaning of cousin exactly.
Step 3: T shows some pictures about the statue of liberty, tall buildings, cars and people , many yellow taxis and food in America. Let students to notice the cultural differences between China and America.
【设计意图】通过视听感知,带领学生整体感知课文大意,为学生建构整体思维框架,为进一步理解课文内容,做好铺垫。
Step4: Watch the CD-ROM again and complete the sentences.
Step 5: Look and say. Students try to complete the sentences with some pictures and hints.
【设计意图】学生独立口头完成,然后小组交流,培养学生自主学习能力。
4. Say out the answers. At the same time, we learn the target sentences:
“I’m in New York now.”, “I arrived here yesterday.”, “There are lots of tall buildings, cars and people.”, “ I want to find out more about the US.”
【设计意图】在语境中感知,理解和运用核心语句,使学生体会意及语言功能。
5. Listen and imitate the dialogue.
【设计意图】让学生通过仿读课文基本掌握正确的语音语调。
(四)训练巩固 Practice( 10分钟)
1.Retell the text
【设计意图】通过课本剧表演再一次巩固核心语句。
2. Activity 4 in text book page 28
T: How to read it (who) Ss: ….
T: Can you read them (when, what, whose) Ss: ….
T: Which ones have got the same sound Ss: ….
T: Look! This (write) is …. And this one (wrong) is …. Ss: (Read them.)
T: Have they got the same sound Ss: Yes!
T:Let’s put these words in correct position (位置)
【设计意图】通过学习 “wh” 和 “wr”的发音检查学生对语音知识的掌握情况。
(五)任务完成 Task completion( 10分钟)
Write a letter to your friend and tell her/him your plan for next holiday.
Show some questions on PPT and then let students to make their own answers.
【设计意图】通过问题引导学生如何描述下周的旅游计划,而拓展到介绍自己日常生活当中的活动计划,训练了学生的综合语言运用能力,使大多数学生完成本课的任务。
