pay, spend, cost, take都可以做“花费”讲，但用法不一样。
pay:花费钱（主语是人）
sb. pay money for sth. 付钱（给某人）买……
eg:Tom pays 15 yuan for the bike.
spend: 花费钱或时间（主语是人）
① sb. spend time ／money on sth.
在……上花费时间/金钱。
eg. Lily spent ten yuan on this pen.
② sb. spend time ／money (in) doing sth.
花费时间/金钱做某事。
eg. Lily spent ten yuan (in) buying this pen.
cost: 花费钱(主语是物)
