【概 述】
本课是PEP教材六年级下册Unit 4 Then and now本单元共6课时，本课是第1课时，
【设计理念】
以言语交际为中心，借助现代信息技术，努力为学生创设理想的英语学习环境,渗透任务型教学,能让学生把所学的内容联系实际，在生活中运用,提供丰富的网络资源，倡导体验、实践、参与、交流与合作的学习方式。
【教学目标】
1.能听、说、认读单词“dining hall”“grass”gym以及ago。
2.了解与过去时连用的时间：years ago，months ago，last year，last month。
3.能运用There be句型的现在时和过去时进行表达不同时间的某地点和某事物。
4.能完成“Find the mistakes”。
【教学重点和难点】
教学重点：能听、说、认读单词“dining hall，grass，gym，ago”并能灵活运用“There be…”的现在时和过去时。
教学难点：能灵活运用“There be”的现在时和过去时并能灵活运用“…don’t…”“…couldn’t…”。

本部分主要要求学生能够掌握新学的学校设施单词“dining hall，gym，grass”，并灵活运用“There be…”句型的现在时和过去时来表现现在和过去的区别。其中，在“Find the mistakes”活动中要求学生能够灵活运用过去式的否定形式，即:“…didn’t …”“…couldn’t …”。
