Life seems incomplete without plans. We are on a road that we are supposed to follow. Our parents and teachers give us the expectations they have for us. We try our best to realize these expectations. We feel everything in our lives must go according to the plans.
Could you imagine how boring life would be if you knew how everything would turn out before you even experienced it Stop being disappointed when some expectations are not realized. Stop trying to create a plan for every goal you have. The most exciting things in life are unexpected.
If you are an idealist, you expect everything to go perfectly. But most of the time, your life will not turn out as perfectly as you imagine. This doesn’t mean you can’t live a life full of joy. You just need to stay open-minded and be easy-going when things change.
Expectations cause the stress of a situation to rise. And then you’ll find the stress will lift your shoulders. This will make you worry about the endless ways something could go wrong. If you are a realist, you’ll expect everything to be worse than it actually will be. This will prevent you from wanting to go through with situations you’re so expecting.

In the 1950s, a female swimming athlete set a goal for herself. She decided to swim across the English Channel before she retired. If she could make it, she would be the
first person in the world who did it.
On that day,she jumped into the sea without hesitation and swam towards the opposite bank.In the journey, she faced heavy fog, heavy rain, and heavy waves. Though she was very tired, she carried on swimming.
But in the end, she gave up. And what she didn' know at the moment she gave up was that the opposite bank was only 1 mile away. Later people asked her about the reason. The P.E. exam is coming. Students of Grade Nine prepare for it every day. Some of the students do long-distance running. After school they run on the playground together. They compete for the first and cheer for the winner. Some students practice the standing long jump. They stand in one line and jump at the same time. The student who jumps farthest must share the experience with his classmates. Others practice the ball throwing. Though the ball is very heavy, they throw it again and again until they are satisfied with the result.
Although they are tired every day, they never give up. I cheer for them. I think exercising is very useful to them. First, the students must pass the P.E. exam, for it is very important. Second, if they do sports every day, they will be healthier than before. In a word, they are great. They never give up, and I should learn from them.
