1. What is the plane used as
It is used as a hospital. It is also used as a training centre.

about eye operations
Local doctors and nurses are invited on board to learn about eye operations.
3. How many patients were operated on during Dr Ma’s last visit
During his last visit, 150 patients were operated on.
语 态 分 类
主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者，如:
Volunteer doctors do operations on the plane.
语态是动词的一种形式，表示主语与谓语之间的关系。英语动词有两种语态, 主动语态和被动语态。
被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者,如:
Operations are done (by volunteer doctors) on the plane.
1. A boy called Tom had eye problems.
2. He wrote to ORBIS for help.

Pay attention
1. 在被动语态的句子中，如果我们需要指出动作的执行者，可以由by引出。
e.g. Many blind people were helped by ORBIS doctors.
2. 有些动词，其主动语态形式含有被动含义。如：系动词smell, taste, sound, feel等。
e.g. The dish smells good.
3. 还有一些不及物动词和well, easily等副词连用，常用主动语态表被动含义。如：read，write，draw, sell, wash等。
e.g. The books sell well.
