Students can understand and apply the words and the sentences to real situation. Look at that ...It’s tall/ short/ fat/ thin.

(1) Students can describe the animals they see in the real situation.
(2) Students can love animals and protect them.

Step 1 Warming up
(1) Greeting
(2) Review the words about animals by asking students.
(设计意图: 通过师生问候,拉近师生的距离。通过一起回忆有关动物的单词,进入新课堂。通过鼓掌激励学生,活跃课堂气氛,迅速把孩子的注意力拉进课堂。)
Step 2 Presentation
(1) a. Miss White, Zhang Peng and Amy are in the zoo. Listen to the voice to lead out the animal “monkey”. Then listen to the pronunciation to lead out the word “thin”.Pay attention to the pronunciation th + i + n(/θ/+/ /+ /n/)
(设计意图: 通过听猴子的叫声让学生融入情景。通过听录音,迅速捕捉听到的信息并表述出来,锻炼孩子们描述动物外形的能力。通过反复听录音和自然拼读使学生轻松掌握单词发音。)
b. Play a game to practice the sentence patterns “Look at that ... It’s ...”. Pass the word card by reading the word “thin”. When the teacher says “Stop”, the student who gets the card should read the sentences “Look at that monkey. It’s thin.”
(设计意图: 通过传递单词卡片游戏,既练习了单词的发音及句型的应用又激起了他们的学习兴趣。)
c. Show a video and do actions like Sarah to practice the word“thin”.
(设计意图:通过歌谣,一起做动作,学生在强化训练中,增强对词汇的理解与运用,训练学生的思想反应能力,教师从刚开始的领着唱做到最后的彻底放手让孩子自己唱做。)
d. Show two monkeys by comparing them to lead out the new word “fat”. Teach it in the same way.
e. Show three pictures to Practice the words “fat” and “thin” by using the sentence patterns “Look at that ... It’s ...”
(2) Show another voice to students to lead out the giraffe, then teach “short” and “tall”in the same way.
Step 3 Practice
(1) Listen,imitate and write
Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. Practice in pairs. After that, write the new words down in the exercise book.

(2) Listen and order
Listen and order the words.
(3) Let's do
Let’s chant and do actions by following “Let’s do”.
(4)Let’s play
When the teacher says “yes”, the students say “no”. When the teacher says “thin”, the students say “fat”. When the teacher says “short”, the students say “tall”...
(5)Show time
A says the word (fat, thin ...) to B. B does the actions and C guesses the word. (设计意图:孩子能够快速搜索本节课学习的内容,迅速做出回答,巩固所学内容。)

[课后反思]
《英语课程标准》中指出:基础教育阶段英语课程的目标是以学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度、学习策略和文化意识的发展为基础,培养学生英语综合语言运用能力。倡导任务型的教学模式,让学生在教师的指导下,通过感知、体验、实践、参与和合作等方式,实现任务的目标,感受成功。在学习过程中进行情感和策略调整,以形成积极的学习态度,促进语言实际运用能力的提高。
通过对《课标》的学习和理解,以及对学生和本课教材的分析,在本课的教学活动时,把学习的主动权交给学生。本课是 PEP小学英语三年级下册第三单元 At the zoo中的 Part A Let’s learn和 Let’s do部分,是一节词汇课。本课的教学目标是能够听、说、认读单词:“fat, thin, tall, short”,同时能够把这些单词运用到动物描述中去。依托单词和句型,创设情境,引领学生在情境中学习单词,并能够在实际生活中运用这些单词,是本节课的重难点。在本课教学中,我设计了一个学生去动物园参观的情境,通过听声音辨别动物,引起学生的兴趣。然后在 Let’s do部分教师从最开始的领着唱做到最后的完全放手让孩子自己唱和做动作。
这样的活动为学生们创造了设计自己感兴趣活动的条件,他们在活动中以“主人”的身份去唱做和表演,他们体验着,享受着。PPT采用各种小动画抓住孩子的注意力。通过多次修改课件,我决定采用动画而不只是图片的呈现方式,吸引孩子的眼球,抓住孩子的注意力和好奇心,使孩子整节课都在见识新的事物,大大提高了孩子学习的热情。
本节课上完之后,我的总体感觉是,学生达到了教学目标的要求,能够完成对三会单词的掌握,并能够在教学过程中操练巩固这些单词,从学生上课回答问题的情况来看,他们掌握的较好,课堂整体效果较好,学生学习积极性高涨,学习兴趣浓厚。
同时,本课也存在几点问题:
一、在个别环节设计上仍有不足,有的教学环节处理过快,没有能够关注全体学生,关注每一个学生的知识掌握情况,对学生的个体差异关注少。要充分运用肢体语言帮助学生理解,适当放慢自己的语速,给学生充分的时间理解,不要过快。;
二、教师语言出现重复过多,还需要加强课堂用语的精简高效。以上就是我关于本节课的一些粗浅的认识。
在以后的教学中,我一定会继续向有经验的老教师学习,总结她们在教学过程中的优势,反思自己在教学过程中的不足之处,努力丰富和完善自己,做到我的课堂能被学生喜爱。
