Objectives:
1. Teaching Aims and Demands
(1) Instructional Objectives
Be able to use the new words and phrases: school rules,arrive late for class,be on time,run in the hallways,eat in the classroom,eat in the dining hall,listen to music in class,fight.
Be able to use “Don’t...” and “ You must...”.
(2) Ability Objectives
Be able to use listening skills to comprehend their dialogues, such as listening for specific information etc.
Be able to use what they learned to talk about school rules.
Be able to use the language they learned to finish a dialogue and a group report.
(3)Educational Objectives
Arousing students’ interest and helping them learn by using pictures and Gif pictures.
Building their confidence by step by step approach and careful scaffolding.
(4) Personal objectives
Teaching the new words in different stages of the whole process.

Procedures and Time Allotment:
Task1: Warming-up(1min)
Before class, get Ss to enjoy an English song for about 2 minutes to warm them up.
The purpose of the task-based activities is to Interest the students.
Task 2:Lead-in(2mins)
Use a movie about some kids’ behaviors in others’ family and ask the students to talk about the behaviors.
2. Ask the Ss what are the rules in our school.
The purpose of the task-based activities is to use real program to arise the students’ interests and students can easily understand the main content.
Task 3: Presentation(12mins)
To ask the students what are the rules in the school especially in the classroom and in class. And then explain the differences between the phrases “in the classroom” and “in class”.
Show some gif pictures about our own class and then ask the Ss to describe the behaviors in the picture to lead in the new words and phrases.
3. Ask the students to read the new words and phrases louder and louder by group by group to draw their interest.
Play a game “what’s missing” to let the students review and remember the new expressions well.
Then I will ask the students do you think these behaviors good or bad The students will answer they are bad. Then I will ask them if we can do them at school. We will together say no. Then I will make sentences with the new expressions “Can you... No,we can’t. We can’t...” then add “Don’t +phrases learned just now and you must +phrases learned ” to let students know about the school rules.Then I will reviw the school rules with the students together.
Play a game “Act and guess”, two students will join in the game each time. Ask one student to come to the front of the stage to guess and the other student act out the school rule what the school rule is.
The purpose of the task-based activities is to let the students learn to cooperate with each other and practice the language points, improve the students’ abilities of speaking.
Task5: Representations(2mins)
Ask the students to open their books and finish 1a. Put the correct number to the front of the behavior and review the school rules learned once more again.
Task 6. Listening(4mins)
Ask Ss to open their books and turn to Page 19. Look at part 1b, look at the conversations and make sure the students understand the conversations and what to do. Then play the tape. After that, check the answers together and come up with the question what the teacher says to the student and why Mike can’t hear Mr. Smith to understand the listening better.
The purpose of the task-based activities is to practice listening and improve the students’ abilities of listening and understanding.
Task 7 . Pair work (4mins)
Ask the students to open the books to Page 19 and practice the conversation in 1C.Then have a free talk about oher rules they know.
The purpose of the task-based activities is to make everyone participate in the class and oral practice to improve students’ interest. It also can train their communication skills.
Task 8 . Group work (10mins)
Ask the students to discuss and make group rules for their group and then ask the group leader to introduce the group members and all the group members to give a report about their group rules. At last, the whole group will say “we are a great group” to enhance the sense of honor.
The purpose of the task-based activities is to improve the skills of cooperation and increase the sense of honor.
Task 8. Summary(2 mins)
Summarize the key language points in groups , and show them on the screen to help the Ss take notes.
The purpose is to teach students to learn absorption capacity.
Task 9. Homework(1mins)
Consolidate and review the expressions of the lesson.
Design the family rules.
Task 10. Moral Education(2mins)
Show a video about the people who break rules and something bad happens to draw students’ attention and remember to follow the rules everywhere.
