Section A needs 1 period.
The main activities are 1a and 2.
Ⅰ. Learning aims
1. Learn some new words and phrase:
try one's best, successful, imagine, soup, biscuit, pancake, cheese, pie
2. Learn some phrases about preparing for the food festival.

3. Learn object clauses.

Step 1 leading
1.Warming up Enjoy a video about Free the Children
2. Show the learning aims.
Step 2 Pre-listening
1. Learn a French proverb. “Tell me what you eat and I’ll tell you what you are.” Lead to the new words.
2. Teacher teaches the new words soup, cheese, cookies, and pancakes by showing their pictures on the screen. Teach set and set the table by explaining their Chinese meaning.
3. Show a poster for a food festival, ask a question “How can we taste more food ” Tell them what a food festival is.
4. Show pictures and learn to answer the question, “What can we do during the food festival ”
5. Discuss in class. “What will you do during the food festival Can you imagine ” Lead the Ss to say “I imagine (that) we will … ”
6. Show pictures of the festival, and let the Ss guess what the children are going to do. And lead to Free the children.
