【课前预习】
I.宾语从句
一、 引导词:
1.由that 引导的宾语从句中,连词that只起连接作用,不做句子的成分,也无词汇意义,在口语中常被省略。
I told him (that) he was wrong.
注意:
1)在think,believe, suppose, expect等动词后的宾语从句中,主语是第 一人称时,宾语从句的否定转移到主句谓语。即:否定转移
I don’t think you are right. (我认为你做的不对)
2)在带有复合宾语的句子中,that引导的宾语从句经常移到句子的后面,而用
it做_________________。
We think it wrong that he told a lie to everyone
我认为他向每一个人撒谎是错误的。
2.由if、 whether 引导的表示“是否”的宾语从句。whether,if 在从
句中不做句子的成分,一般情况下,whether和if 可以替换。
1)I don’t know if/whether he will come tomorrow.
2)The teacher asked if/whether we had finished the experiment.
3. 由wh- words引导的宾语从句。
连接代词who,whom,whose, what, which,它们在句中既连接从句,又充当句子成分。(主语、宾语、定语、表语)
连接副词when, where, why, how,它们在句中既连接从句,又充当句子成分。(状语)
1)Do you know which film they are talking about? (which做定语)
2)I don’t know where he lives. (where 地点状语)
二、语序
宾语从句的语序必须是_________________,即连接词+主语+谓语+其他成分
例:I believe that they will come soon. He asked me whether I was a teacher. They wanted to know what they can do for us.
II.定语从句
在主从复合句中充当_____句子是定语从句,它在句中修饰______________。
定语从句一般由关系代词______________, which, who(m), _____________和关系副词when, where,_______________等引导。被定语从句修饰的词叫做_______________。定语从句通常放在先行词的后面作后置定语。定语从句可以分为限制性定语从句和非限制性定语从句。
一、关系代词
1.当先行词指人时,由that、who、whom引导。that在从句中作主语和宾语 ,who作主语,whom作宾语,作宾语时可省略。
I know the young man that/who is reading under the tree.
我认识在树下读书的那个年轻人。
 The girl whom you talked about a moment ago is my daughter.
你们刚才谈论的女孩是我的女儿。
【温馨提示】
1. 当指人的先行词后有介词时,关系代词不用that, 而要用______________

2.当先行词指物时,由which或that引导。Which在从句中作主语和宾语,that作主语和宾语。作宾语时可省略。

一、 宾语从句
1.if 和whether的区别:
l)________________________________________________________。
例:Everything depends on whether we have enough money。

例:I don't know whether the movie star will come or not.
和不定式连用作宾语时只用whether引导。
例:Whether to go there or not hasn't been decided.
2.宾语从句的时态。
1) 宾语从句的时态受主句的限制,即:主句是一般现在时,从句根据实际情况而定。主句是一般过去时,从句用相应的过去的时态。
①She says that she is a student./She said that she was a student.
②She says that she will fly to Japan in a week./She said that she would fly to Japan in a week.
③She says that she has finished her homework ./She said that she had finished her homework .
2)如果宾语从句说的是客观真理、自然现象或事实时,这时宾语从句用__________时态。
①The teacher said _______________________________.(地球绕着太阳转)
②He told me that Japan is an island country.
二、定语从句
1.当先行词指物时只能用that而不能用which的几种常见情况:
1) 先行词为all, anything, everything, nothing, much, none, little等不定代词时。如:
There is nothing that can stop him from doing it. 没有什么能阻止他做这件事。

5)当主语是who的疑问句。如:
Who is the boy that is playing computer games? 在玩电脑游戏的男孩是谁?
2.当先行词指物时,只能用which而不能用that的场合
1)关系代词前有介词时。
This is the house in which Tom once lived. 这是汤姆曾经住过的房子。
2) 在非限定性定语从句(即通常用逗号与主句隔开,如果去掉逗号后的定语从句,整个句子仍能表达完整的意义的定语从句)中。如:
They are talking about the TV play, which they saw last night.
他们正在谈论昨晚看的电视剧。
3.whose在定语从句中作定语,在整个句子中修饰它前面的名词。名词既可以是人也可以是物。

【课前预习】
根据功能状语从句可分为:时间状语从句、地点状语从句、原因状语从句、目的状语从句、结果状语从句、条件状语从句、让步状语从句、比较状语从句、方式状语从句。
一、时间状语从句:
由when(当…时候)、 while(当…时候)、 ________(当…时候)、_______(在…以后)、 before(在…以前)、 as soon as(一…就)、 since(自从…到现在)、____________(直到…才)引导.
1.I will become a teacher when I grow up.
当我长大了,我要当老师
2.He visited a lot of places while he was traveling.
他在旅途中参观了许多地方。

二、原因状语从句
由because, since, as ,for等词引导

三、条件状语从句
由if如果、unless (=if not) 除非引导。
1.If it doesn’t rain tomorrow, we will go hiking.
如果明天不下雨, 我们就去远足.
2.You will get good grades if you study hard.
如果你努力学习,就会取得好成绩.
3.You will be late unless you leave immediately.
如果你不马上走,你将会迟到的.
四、目的状语从句
由 so that, in order that(为了,以便)引导。例如:
1.We started early so that we could catch the first train.
2.We used the computer in order that we might save time.
五、结果状语从句
由so…that、such…that(如此…以至于), so that引导。例如:
1.He is so poor that he can’t buy a bike for his son.
2.She is such a good teacher that everybody likes her.
3.We got up late ,so that we missed the first train.
【温馨提示】
1.由so...that引导的结果状语从句中,so是副词,与形容词连用。其结构 是: “...so + 形容词(副词)+ that + 从句”:
① He was so glad that he couldn’t say a word.
② The hall is so big that it can hold 2,000 people.
③ Mother lives so far away that we hardly ever see her.
2.由such…that引导的结果状语从句中,such是形容词,它修饰的可以是单数或复数可数名词,也可以是不可数名词;名词前面可以带形容词,也可不带。如果是单数可数名词,前面需加不定冠词a或an。例如:
It was such a hot day that nobody wanted to do anything.
= It was so hot a day that nobody wanted to do anything.
3.如果名词前由many, much, little(少), few等词修饰时,只能用so, 不用such
He has so little time that he can’t go to the cinema with you.
He is such a little boy that he can’t go to school.
六、让步状语从句
由although, though等连词引导。例如:
1.Though he is young, he knows a lot.
2.Although I am tired, I must go on working.
七、地点状语从句
由where引导。例如:
Where there is a will , there is a way.
八、比较状语从句通常由as…as , 比较级+than …引导。
He runs faster than Tom does.
九、方式状语从句
由as(正如,按照)、as if/as though(好像)
Do just as you like.
He spoke as if he had been there himself.

原因状语从句
1.辨析:because , since , as , for
1)because语势最强,回答由_______ 引导的问句。当原因是显而易见的或已为人们所知,就用as或 since。
 ①I didn’t go, because I was afraid.
 ②Since /As the weather is so bad, we have to delay our journey.
2)for 引导的从句只能放在____________,且用逗号隔开。
 He must be ill, for he is absent today.
让步状语从句
1.though, although当“虽然”讲, 都不能和____________连用. 但可以同yet
(still) 连用.
① Although he is rich but he is not happy. (T / F)
② Although he is rich, yet he is not happy. (T / F)

三、目的、结果状语从句:
1.so that既可引导目的状语从句,又可引导结果状语从句。

什么是闭音节? 音节是读音的基本单位,任何单词的读音,都是分解为一个个音节朗读。在英语中元音特别响亮,一个元音可构成一个音节,一个元音和一个或几个辅音因素结合也可以构成一个音节。
