教学目标:学生通过观察不同情境中过去进行时的使用,归纳总结过去进行时的用法和句型,并能恰当使用。
教学重难点:掌握过去进行时态表达的意义及其构成,并能恰当使用。
教学步骤:
Step 1 Lead in
Present the meaning of The past continuous tense.
基本概念:过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或一段时间内正在进行的动作。
Step 2 Presentation
Show some sentences and have students summarize the structure of The past continuous tense and tell the students to recall the main usages of The past continuous tense.
结构:s+was/were+doing
(was/were要根据主语的人称和数的变化而变化)
I was sleeping.
He/She was singing.
We/You/They were running.
过去进行时的用法:
表示过去在某一时刻或某一段时间内正在发生或进行的动作或状态。I was reading a book last night.
表示一个动作发生时,另一个动作正在进行或者一个动作正在进行时另一个动作突然发生。I saw you while you were studying.
过去进行时也可以表示两个动作同时进行.He was playing while I was studying.
与过去进行时连用的时间状语:at ... (o’clock) yesterday / last night
at this time yesterday then/at that time / moment 由when 和while 引导的过去时的句子等。
过去进行时的句式结构: 1.肯定句:s+ was / were +doing +其他.
Mike was reading a newspaper at 9:30 last night.
否定句:s+ was / were + not +doing+其他.Mike was not reading a newspaper at 9:30 last night.
3.一般疑问句:Was / Were +s+doing+其他 Was Mike reading a newspaper at 9:30 last night
