A Tsinghua University student’s online stories about his school life have brought many people to tears.
When he went to university, he was awarded a total of 13,000 yuan. “When I received the money from the university, my excitement was beyond words. Perhaps only those who’ve been flat broke can understand me,” he said. “Sending coal on a snowy day is far better than adding icing on the cake.”
However, putting aside tuition (学费), he was left with just 6,500 yuan, which would cover all his cost in a year. He only spent 400 yuan a month, eating rice and a few vegetables and avoiding class outings.
In his junior year, he worked part-time as a tutor (家教). He could get 100 yuan an hour. After entering graduate school, he decided in turn to send his hard-earned money to needy students. He gave away 3,200 yuan to four students every term.
For people who helped him, the student sent handwritten letters to them every year, thanking them for their help and sharing his studies and career plans with them. He would sometimes send a short video to people who helped him, giving them birthday wishes.
“Having received help myself, I should give back to society in return,” he said. “I hope one day I can help more people in need.”

If you have trouble in sleeping, try the new bus service in Hong
Kong, China. The five-hour ride is called the "Sleeping Bus Tour”,
which is for people who have difficulty sleeping well.
“When we were creating new tours, I saw a post (帖子) from my
friend saying that he was stressed out by his work and that he couldn’t
sleep at night," said Kenneth Kong, the development manager of ulu
travel.“But when he was travelling on the bus, he was able to sleep
well. His post inspired (启发) me to create this tour."
Tickets for the first “Sleeping Bus Tour sold out right away.“I
have trouble sleeping well, so I’m here to try and get some sleep," said
25-year-old Anson Kong, one of the passengers on the first bus tour.
He said that the tour was a good idea and "“more interesting" than he
had expected.
Many people find it easy to fall asleep during a long bus trip.
Why According to smartsleepingtips com, there are three possible

Cars, buses and trains have a perfect environment that produces
white noise. The noise blocks out (阻挡) other sounds, making it easier
for passengers to feel sleepy.
★Rocking (摇晃的) movement
Babies are often rocked to sleep. Sitting on a bus gives people
similar experiences.
★Increase in CO2
Buses and trains get crowded with people going to and from work
and CO2 increases when there are lots of people. As less oxygen gets
into the brain, it slows down.

I made a place for Friday to sleep between the two fences around my house so that he could not attack me during the night. However, this was not necessary, for Friday was the most faithful servant you could imagine. He was also a very good student and quickly learned everything that I taught him. Soon he was able to use some English words.
It took him a long time to understand what a gun was and stop being afraid of it. I had to shoot several animals and birds before he stopped running away. I cooked some goat meat for him, and he enjoyed eating it. The next day, I showed him how to help me make bread from corn. Then, I realized I would need more corm because ___▲___ . I taught him how to dig the ground and prepare it for planting. He worked very hard and was always obedient (顺从的).
This was the best year that I spent on the island. Friday began to speak more English and we talked about his country. I also asked him about the voyages they made across the sea, and I discovered where we were. The land I could see from the other side of the island was Trinidad.
He told me that he knew that white men lived a long way away. I could get there in a large canoe. I told him about my life on the island. I described England to him. Then he told me about a boat that came to their country one day with seventeen white men in it. They lived with the savages there. I realized that they must have come from the ship that was wrecked near my island.
“Why didn’t you eat them ” I asked.
“We only eat men after we win a war against them,” he answered.
I took him to the top of the hill from where I saw the land. He was very excited.
“There is my country!” he said.
Perhaps he wanted to go back to his own people. He said he would not go there unless I went with him. I showed him my canoe on the other side of the island. We sailed in it, but he said it was too small to go across the sea to his country. Then, I showed him the big boat I had made over twenty years ago but could not get to the water. He said it was big enough, but it was broken and rotten (腐烂的).
—Taken from Robinson Crusoe
