一、教材分析
本课是外研社版小学英语四年级下册Module2 Unit2It’s very old.本模块的教学内容是描述一座城市、一处景物或一件物品。本课主要介绍英国伦敦的泰晤士河、大本钟、海德公园、塔桥这四处英国著名的建筑。通过介绍，使学生更多的了解英国文化、旅游景点、风土人情等，给学生构造了美丽的英国画面，也能使我们联想到用形容词描述其他的事物，或者通过描述来猜测是什么事物。
二、学情分析
学生对这些景点很好奇，所以在课堂中多设计有趣的活动让学生参加，让学生们在快乐轻松的学习氛围中产生对英语的兴趣。
三、教学目标
1、知识目标：
（1）学习并能够识别单词long、wide、many、river、old、famous，并根据提示书写这些单词。
（2）学习并能口头运用目标语句This is Big Ben. It’s very old. And it’s very tall.这类语句描述旅游景点。
（3）基本会唱歌曲London Bridge is falling down.
2、能力目标：
（1）能够运用This is +地名，It’s + adj.的语言结构来描述自己喜欢的城市。
（2）能够运用The + n. +is+ adj.的语言结构来形容某种事物。
3、情感目标：
通过学习了解英国的标志建筑和著名旅游景点等，开阔学生的文化视野，激发他们对英语的学习热情和兴趣。
四、教学重难点：
1、 教学重点分析：
伦敦地标性建筑的名称，以及用形容词描述某地的语句。
2、教学难点分析：
（1）使学生能运用所学词组对自己熟悉的景物进行简单、正确的描述。
（2）激发学生兴趣，使他们敢于用简单的语言准确描述身边景物。
