流 程 预 设 Step1. Lead in Look at the chatting in Wechat, then invite two students to role play the dialogue. Step2 Presentation Have a look at some sentences, students learn to summarize the usage of common words in red. Present adverbial clause with because, so that, so 原因状语从句 如果从句表示的是主句行为的原因,就构成原因状语从句。原因状语从句由表示原因的连词引导,常用的是because。 Mark is absent today because he is ill. 马可今天没来,因为他病了。 They hurried on because it was getting dark. 因为天色暗下来了,他们匆匆赶路。 注意: because 习惯上不能与 so 连用; because引导的原因状语从句有时可以与带有because of 短语的句子互换。 目的状语从句 如果从句表示的是主句行为的目的,该从句就是目的状语从句。目的状语从句可以由so that引导。从句中一般都含有表示可能性的词:could,will,would,can等。 Mulan dressed like a man so that she could join the army. 为了能够参军,木兰穿戴成男人的样子。 I got up very early so that I could get to school on time. 为了能按时到校,我很早就起床了。 结果状语从句 本模块中我们接触的结果状语从句是由so引导的,表示“由于某个行为而导致的结果”。 He worked too hard, so he fell ill again. 他工作过于劳累,结果又病倒了。 She didn’t come, so I went there alone. 她没有来,所以我只好自己去。 Step3 Language Practice 1.Complete the passage in A1 with because, so or so that. 2.Join the sentences in A2 with because, so or so that. Step4 Listening and Reading Listen to Activity6 and choose the correct answer. Read the passage quickly in Activity7 and choose the best title.
