学情分析 The students are ninth graders who can use the basis listening skills to understand the passage. They are interested in listening, quick-minded and trained with cooperative learning. They have known adverbial clause with because, so that, so before, but they are weak in talking about their home alone stay with adverbial clause.
教学目标 Knowledge objectives: Students are able to master the following words: platform, meeting, miss, shut, lock, simple, anybody, clock, ring, passenger, address, text, text message, couple, a couple of Students are able to use the following expressions: (1) I can look after myself, although it won’t be easy for me. (2) My clock rings so loudly that it will certainly wake me up. (3) So am I , but I can’t miss two weeks of school. (4)Your train is about to leave. Students are able to use adverbial clause with so... that... or although Ability objectives: ⑴Students are able to understand a conversation about home stay story and identify specific information. ⑵Students are able to describe their home stay stories and give reasons with adverbial clause. Emotional objectives: Students can understand their parents and can look after themselves well when their parents are out.
