Step 2. Presentation: look and say (5 minutes)
1. Show some pictures and teach the new words and sentences.
2.Let the students read the new words and remember them.
3.Have a chant to consolidate the new words.
Step 3.Activity 1a(5 minutes)
1.Have students look at the pictures in Part 1a on the screen.Discuss the chores with partners.
2.Ask the students to show their dialogues.
3.Play a game:memory test. Ask students to speak out answers together.
Step 4. Activity 1b (4 minutes)
1.Have the students read the instructions and know how to do them.
2.Play the tape for two times.The first time, ask students to listen carefully and write the answers.The second time,listen and check the answers.
3.Follow the tape. Let students pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
Step 5.Activity 1c (3 minutes)
1.Give students enough time to practice the conversations about 1a.
2.Ask them to make their own conversations. For example:
A: Could you please sweep the floor
B: Yes,sure. Can you do the dishes
C: Well, could you please do them I’m going to clean the living room.
D: No problem.
Step 6.Activity 2a and 2b (5 minutes)
1.Get the students have a quick look at the instructions of these two activities, so they can know how to do them.
2.Play the recording the first time for the first time to get the main idea.
3.Play it again for then to complete the sentences in 2b.
4.Check the answers.
5.Follow the tape.
Step 7.Activity 2c (3 minutes)
1.Work in pairs to talk about chores.
2.Invite several pairs to act out their conversations.
Step 8. Activity 2d (7 minutes)

2.Read after the tape,pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
4.Ask students to make a report like this:

two hours of TV 虽为复数,但却表达一种整体的概念。当时间、长度、距离或其他可数名词表示一个完整的整体概念用作主语时,其后谓语动词应用单数形式。

Thirty students is not a big number for a class.30人对一个班来说算不上是个大数目。

any minute now 随时, 立即

any minute now中的minute可以用second, moment, time等词替换。

1.The minute I sat down in front of the TV, my mum came over.
the minute (that)为时间名词,用作边际从属连词,表示“一……就……”, 其后的 that 经常省略, minute前可以用 very 等形容词修饰。 常见的时间名词还有:
the + moment/instant/second等。
I’ll tell him the minute he comes.他一来我就告诉你。
2.I’m just as tired as you are.
as +adj. / adv.(原级) + as 表示不同人或物同一性质的比较,意为“…和…一样…”。
The tree is as tall as the building (is).这棵树和那栋楼一样高。
He runs as fast as I.他和我跑得一样快。
3.She did not do any housework and neither did I.
neither did I 是一种倒装结构,neither 为副词,还可用nor来替换。当neither或nor表示“也不”这一概念时,往往使用倒装的形式。
A: I’ve never been to Australia. (我从来没有去过澳大利亚。)
B: Neither have I. (我也没有。)
He’s not good at swimming, nor am I.他不擅长游泳,我也不。
4.She asked in surprise.
in surprise “惊奇地”,常位于动词之后作状语,表示方式。如:
John turned around and looked at me in surprise.约翰转过身来,惊奇地望着我。
He opened his eyes wide in surprise.他吃惊地睁大了眼睛。
5.could与can的区别
could与can都是情态动词,could是can的过去式。二者都可用于表示请求,但是用法稍有不同。
can表示一般性的请求,语气随便,常用于熟人之间或长辈对晚辈、上级对下级的场合;【板书设计】

信头:发信人地址和日期
这部分中有时可省去发信人地址,但一般要写日期。放在信纸的右上方。
称呼:对收信人的尊称
最普通的是Dear,但与Mr,Mrs,Miss等不同的是:Dear后一般用名字,而Mr、Mrs、Miss后不能单独用名字,而只能是姓或姓与名,比如:对John Smith的称呼,应该是Mr Smith,Mr John Smith或 Dear John称呼后面可用逗号或者冒号。
信的正文
结尾:发信人对收信人的谦称或敬语,放在信的右下方。
这部分要特别注意英语习惯,不可根据汉语意思写上诸如“此致敬礼”、“祝您健康”之类的中国式的结尾语。常用的英语书信结尾语如下:
写给同龄人或年长的朋友: Yours sincerely, Sincerely yours, Yours,
写给好朋友: Love, With love, Best wishes, …
写给亲戚:Love, With love, Your (ever) loving son (sister…)
签名
签名一般在结尾语的下面一行。
