Step 1 Greetings.Teacher and students greeting with each other and share the learning goals.Step2 PresentationShow the picture on page 49 to the students and guide them to talk something about the picture in English. Teacher can ask some related questions: Who are they What are they doing What’s this What about this one Then guide students to watch the video together. Ask students to pay attention to the words’ pronunciations. Then teach the words one by one. Ask students to pay attention to the pronunciations and the plural forms. Teaching the words by asking the sentence structures: Do you like pears/apples/oranges/bananas And guide students to answer like this: Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Then lead students to read the words and sentences after the video. Step 3 PracticeAsk students to work in groups and discuss their friends’ favourite fruits. One student be the leader and use the sentence structures: Do you like pears/apples… Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Give several minutes to the students and let them finish the dialogue. Then choose some students to the front and show them.Step 4 SummaryAsk students to eat more fruits everyday. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” Step 5 Homework1. Ask for your friends’ favorite fruits.2. Read the dialogue for three times.
