Step 1 Lead-in (4mins) 1.Show the learning objectives. 2. Watch a video about cartoon. Ask the Ss what they can see in the video. 3. Play a guessing game. Guess what the cartoon is. 1. Let Ss know what we are going to learn today. 2. By showing the video of the cartoons, lead in the topic.
Step 2 Pre- listening (8mins) 1. Introduce the challenge game. Ss can turn over a piece of jigsaw when they finish a task. 2. Listen and choose the words. Tony: What kind of cartoon do you like, Betty Betty: My favorite cartoon is Superman. It’s great. Tony: Why do you like it so much Betty: The stories are so exciting! Superman is (1)_______. And he’s very (2)____________ too. Tony: I don’t like it much, myself. The stories have happy endings. Betty: Yes, but all cartoons have happy endings. Tony: I guess you’re right.
