Topic Module 5 Unit 1 It’s time to watch a cartoon.
Analysis of Teaching Material The topic of this unit is cartoons. The type of this lesson is listening and speaking. The text mainly introduces the dialogue between Daming and Tony about their favourite cartoon. This course focuses on the cultivation of students’ listening and speaking ability. The content is close to students’ daily life. Teachers should carry out moral education while teaching.
Analysis of Students Students are very interested in the topic of “cartoon”. Most of the students have mastered the key vocabulary and sentence patterns of this lesson.They are active ,but a few students are lack of self-confidence. Therefore, flexible and diverse teaching methods suitable for students’ age characteristics should be adopted in the classroom to attract students, strive to create a real situation and improve their interest in learning. Teachers should pay attention to the acceptance and participation of backward students in the process of listening and speaking.
