【概 述】
本课是PEP教材五年级下册Unit 4 When is the art show 本单元共6课时，本课是第4课时，
【设计理念】
以言语交际为中心，借助现代信息技术，努力为学生创设理想的英语学习环境,渗透任务型教学,能让学生把所学的内容联系实际，在生活中运用,提供丰富的网络资源，倡导体验、实践、参与、交流与合作的学习方式。
【教学目标】
1. 能够听、说、读、写序数词及简写形式：twelfth(12th), twentieth(20th), twenty-first(21st), twenty-third(23rd),thirtieth(30th)。
2. 能够在语境中正确运用这五个单词描述不同的日期。
3. 能够运用句型When is Grandpa’s birthday It’s on October 12th询问和回答生日的日期。
4. 能向他人介绍自己家人的生日。
5. 培养学生孝敬长辈、关心家人的美好品质。
6.初步了解一个月份中日期的表达方式。让学生能自己总结出序数词表达的基本规律。
【教学重点和难点】
教学重点：能够听、说、读、写五个序数词twelfth, twentieth, twenty-first, twenty-third, thirtieth。
教学难点：能够运用句型When is Grandpa’s birthday It’s on October 12th.询问和回答生日的日期。

【教学反思】本课时学习序数词及其缩写形式以及询问和回答生日的日期，即When is … birthday It is on+月份+序数词。值得注意的是在某月每日之前应用介词on。
