(2)派生词前缀

教学过程
环节1 新课导入
教师展示一段与花卉、园艺相关的视频。教师在视频结束后提出两个问题,学生思考并口头回答。

设计意图:通过观看与园艺相关的视频,引起学生的兴趣;通过提问,引导学生思考和想象,为新课做准备。
环节2 新课学习
1.教师让学生阅读第22页“THINK ABOUT IT”中的两个问题,学生之间相互讨论。教师请几名学生起来分享他们喜爱的电视节目。
2.教师让学生先浏览课文的大致内容,然后播放录音。学生认真听并体会语音语调和句子的停顿。
3.教师再次播放录音,学生在听的过程中勾画出生单词、重要的短语以及自己有疑问的句子。然后教师对单词、短语、句子进行讲解,并解答学生仍有疑惑的地方。
4.教师给学生两分钟时间熟读这篇文章的内容。
5.教师点名,请两名学生起来朗读,学生读错或者未读准的地方教师要及时纠正。其他学生作出评价。
6.教师让学生根据课文内容完成活动1的三个小题,教师核对答案。
7.教师让学生浏览活动2的问题及其下方几幅图片,预测录音内容。
8.教师播放录音,学生圈出录音中出现的书名。再次播放录音,学生检查自己的答案是否正确,然后教师请两名学生给出他们的答案并指导学生订正。
9.学生读题,完成活动3的五个句子,然后教师核对答案,讲解单词在不同句子中的不同词性。
10.学生四人为一组,回忆所学的单词中哪些是兼有不同词性的,把这些单词记录下来,并用它们造句。教师请四组学生派出代表来回答。
11.学生浏览活动4的要求,写一封信给玛丽,就园艺相关的问题向玛丽提问。
12.要点点拨。
(1)She has lots of good advice for every gardener!advice n.建议,劝告,忠告。它是不可数名词,若要表达“一条建议”应用a piece of advice。其动词形式为advise,常用搭配:advise sb.to do sth.建议某人做某事。advice的同义词为suggestion(可数名词)。例:Here is some advice/Here are some suggestions about how to learn English well.这是一些关于怎样学好英语的建议。
(2)When is the best time to plant vegetables
①该句是由疑问副词when引导的特殊疑问句,用于询问时间或日期。
②在the best time to plant vegetables中,不定式to plant vegetables 作后置定语修饰名词time。the best time to do... 做……的最佳时间。例:When is the best time to plant sunflowers?什么时候是种向日葵的最佳时间?

2.教师请两名学生分别说一说植物的名称以及特别的植物,其他学生可集思广益,进行补充。
3.教师让学生浏览课文中的图片,然后教师播放录音,学生初步了解这篇文章的内容。
4.教师指导学生勾画课文中重要的单词、短语以及句子,然后作讲解。
5.进入“Let's Do It!”部分。教师播放录音,学生根据所听内容,完成活动1,教师核对答案。
6.教师再次播放录音,学生模仿语音语调进行跟读。
7.教师让学生独立完成活动2,然后和同桌讨论表格中自己补充的信息。教师核对答案。
8.学生独立完成活动3,根据首字母提示完成下方的四个句子,然后教师指导学生订正,并作适当讲解。
9.教师利用PPT展示更多特别的植物,简单作介绍后,学生四至五人为一组选择其中一种植物进行对话练习。对话内容可以参考活动4给出的任务提示。

(1)When something touches this plant's leaves,they close up tightly.
①句中close up是动词短语,意为“合起来,收起来”。其反义短语为open up,意为“张开,打开”。
②tightly adv.紧紧地;牢固地。其形容词形式为tight (紧的,紧身的,密集的)。例:The door is tightly closed.How can I open it without a key?这扇门紧闭着。我如何不用钥匙将它打开呢?
(2)If the wind blows,this amazing tree “laughs”.
该句是一个主从复合句。if conj.如果,假如。它在句中引导条件状语从句。在含if引导的条件状语从句的复合句中,if从句可直接放在主句后面;若if从句放在句首,从句后面要加逗号和主句隔开。例:If you need our help,please call us.如果你需要我们的帮助,请给我们打电话。
(3)When people first hear it laughing,they are usually quite surprised and begin to laugh along with the tree.
surprised adj.感到惊讶的。常用于修饰人。例:Her mother felt so surprised that she could not say any words.她的妈妈是如此的惊讶以至于说不出话来。
