1.让学生思考教材第12页的“THINK ABOUT IT”的两个问题,然后和同桌讨论。
2.让学生先浏览一遍活动1中的三个问题,然后带着问题阅读课文,并勾画出答案所在位置以及课文中的关键信息。
3.教师讲解课文中的重点单词、短语以及句子。随后邀请几名学生回答活动1的问题,最后全班一起核对答案。
4.让学生浏览活动2方框中的单词,弄清其意思,然后用这些单词的适当形式完成活动2中的四个句子。教师请学生分享自己的答案,最后订正答案。
5.让学生先观察活动3方框中的句子,浏览活动3的文章,完成该活动。学生完成后与同桌进行讨论,相互检查填写的内容。
6.教师请几名学生翻译这篇文章,然后订正活动3的答案。
7.学生分组讨论。小组成员一起讨论在春天时喜欢做的事情并说明原因,然后教师请三个小组派出代表,与其他同学分享自己的想法。
8.让学生根据讨论的内容,写一篇作文。教师将作文收集起来,挑选出几篇优秀的作文予以点评并在班上传阅。
9.要点点拨。
(1)The temperature can be as low as -15℃.
“as+ adj./ adv.+as”意为“和……一样……”,表示同级比较。使用时要注意第一个as为副词,第二个as为连词。否定形式是“not as/so + adj./ adv.+as”。例:This dictionary is not as/so useful as you think.这本字典不如你想象的那样有用。若有twice、three times、half、a quarter等修饰该结构中的形容词或副词,须置于第一个as之前。例: Your book is twice as thick as mine.你的书比我的厚一倍。
(2)We probably won't see any flowers until May or June!
①until意为“直到”,表示某一种行为一直持续到某一时间。用在肯定句中,句子的谓语动词必须是延续性动词。例:I studied English until 9 o'clock last night.我昨天晚上学英语一直学到9点钟。(表示9点前一直在学)
②not...until意为“直到……才”,表示直到某一时间,某一行为才发生,之前该行为并没有发生。用在否定句中,主句中的谓语可以是延续性动词或瞬时性动词。例:I did not study English until 9 o'clock last night.我昨天晚上直到9点钟才学英语。(表示9点才开始学)【拓展】not until还可以用于强调句中,也可以放在句首,句子要采用部分倒装。例:It was not until he came back that I went to sleep last night.昨晚直到他回来,我才睡觉。

(1)Spring is coming.
用现在进行时表将来的单词有:come、go、leave、arrive、begin、start、move等动词。例:The train is starting in a few minutes.几分钟后火车就要开动了。
(2)The weather is warming.
warm v.(使)变暖;暖和起来。它也作形容词。例:It's warm in spring.春天天气暖和。
(3)【辨析】through、across与cross。
①through prep.(从物体中间)穿过。例:Linda went through the forest.琳达穿过森林。
②across prep.(从物体表面)穿过。例:She goes across the square.她穿过广场。③cross v.穿过。相当于go across、walk across。例:The singer crossed the street quickly.这名歌手迅速穿过街道。

(1)What's the weather like today
What's the weather like today 相当于How is the weather today 二者都是用来询问天气的常用句式,意为“今天天气怎么样?” 例:—What's the weather like today?今天天气怎么样?—It's cloudy but a little hot.多云但有点热。
(2)What's the temperature
询问“温度是……度”时,要用what来提问,不用how many或how much。
(3)I'm scared of thunder!
be scared of sb./sth.的意思是“害怕某人/某物”。例:I'm scared of dogs.我害怕狗。【拓展】scare v.使惊恐,惊吓。例:You scared me.你吓了我一跳。
(4)构词法
①snowy、cloudy是形容词,分别表示“雪的,多雪的”和“多云的”。它是由名词“snow/cloud +后缀-y”构成。y加在名词之后,表示“具有……特征的、多……的”。类似的派生词还有:rain→rainy、sun→sunny等。
②afternoon、maybe、thunderstorm、sunrise、sunset是复合词。复合词由一些词汇复合形成。复合形成的词是属于哪种词类,常取决于复合词的后半部词性。类似的复合词还有:basketball、bookshop、goodbye、midnight、downstairs、download、myself、without等。

(1)Have you ever been a babysitter
Have you ever been是现在完成时态的结构形式。现在完成时表示到目前为止已经完成的动作或存在的状态,它强调过去的动作对现在产生的影响。现在完成时态的结构:have/has+动词的过去分词。例:I have missed the early train,so I may be late for work today.我错过了早班车,所以今天有可能会迟到。
(2)Let's play on the swings instead,OK
instead adv.代替,更换。例:Tom was ill so I went to the meeting instead.汤姆病了,所以我替他参加了会议。
【辨析】instead与instead of
instead 代替,顶替。常用于句尾。 例:I didn't have a pen,so I used a pencil instead.我没有钢笔,因此我用铅笔代替了。
instead of 代替。后接名词、代词或动名词。 例:They went there on foot instead of riding bikes.他们没骑自行车而是步行去了那里。

①neither...nor...表示“既不……也不……”。表否定含义,在句中连接任意两个并列的成分。例:She likes neither butter nor cheese.她既不喜欢黄油也不喜欢奶酪。【拓展】当neither...nor...连接两个主语时,其后的谓语动词应遵循“就近原则”。neither作主语单独使用时,表示“两者中没有一个”。例:Neither dad nor mum is at home today.今天父母都不在家。
②neither...nor...句型变为肯定句,可将neither...nor...改为both...and...
【注意】both...and...结构中,谓语动词必须用复数形式。例:Both dad and mum are at home today.今天父母都在家。
③ 当表达一个人没有做某事,另一个人也没做同一件事时,可用neither或nor进行简略回答,其结构为:Neither/Nor+助动词/情态动词/be动词+主语.

设计意图:通过自由讨论的形式引入新课,达到活跃课堂氛围,激发学生的学习兴趣的目的。
环节2 新课学习
1.让学生两人一组讨论教材第8页上方“THINK ABOUT IT”的两个问题,然后随机邀请两名学生说出自己的看法。
2.让学生浏览活动1的题目以及下方的四个问题,然后带着问题阅读短文,找到问题的答案并做好标记。教师请四名学生起来回答,最后教师订正答案。
3.让学生再次阅读短文,完成活动2的连线题,并勾画出短文中的生词、重点短语和句子。教师指导学生订正答案。
4.教师讲解学生标出的生词、重点短语、句子以及文中出现的其他重难点。教师可以让学生结合本课时所学的单词、短语以及句型进行造句练习等。
5.让学生浏览活动3方框中的短语并理解其意思,然后用方框中所给短语的适当形式完成活动3中的四个句子。教师请两名学生起来回答,然后全班一起核对答案。
